Many good songs will add (or subtract) 4 beats of music creating a "bastard" phrase. This can catch you back in. Or from the corte' release the lady and extend the pattern. Or simply put any other pattern after it then repeat the promenade to corte'.
That is only 12 beats of music, is there another part of the pattern to make it 16?
