I think she was truthful in saying that for the first time she was happy to be an American because in her mind, for the first time, a true representative of "the people" (Barack Obama) was elected to the presidency. Among New Leftists, the current electoral system this country is corrupt because it is an arm of the "Haves" to impose their will and power on the "have nots." Our current electoral system is a fraud, an instrument of the rich used in America's class struggle.

I think she just made an honest mistake. Those who speak maliciously of her have blinders on they don't want to take off for some reason or another, for that I'm sad.
