I love durian fruit. But even I don't like the smell of it. It doesn't "stink", it just has a strong annoying odor. I like to freez it and then thaw it out, then eat it--then it tastes like mango ice-cream. It's almost addicting. But never leave durian in a warm room; the smell would kill you. Put it in the freezer, and the odor is drastically reduced.
Was this Sean eating this 'weird' fruit in front of his to-be parents-in-laws?
I guess he really was 'cornered' by the whole surrounding gang to eat and all the more to 'like' what he ate.

Bad, bad, bad, durian doesn't have odor. It has aroma. Second, eating fresh durian it waaay better than frozen then thawed.
