Repulsion was recorded in 1986, so it is the first grindcore record recorded but ND's "Scum" was released in 1987, making it the first grindcore record released. Still everytime I saw ND they playaed the opening to Stench of Burning Death before playing "Deceiver." Classic bands
why arguing so much for the genre? Hardcore punk + Thrash Metal = Crossover Thrash, Hardcore punk + Hate = Crust Punk, Crust Punk + even more fuckin' Hate = Grindcore, and this is grindcore at it's original and true form
@Kallicles it seems that YOU is the one who don't know shit! if you listen to some crossover thrath bands like early cryptic slaughter you'll understand
It's a shame that Dig didn't want to release Repulsion's or Electro Hippies' stuff on Earache. Luckily Jeff Walker was there to put help introduce such amazing blasts to the underground. Not to mention his rad fucking artwork on 'Scum'. Fuck Dig hahaa.
i saw them awhile back with munipal waste, at the gates, and Darkest hour.all bands were spectacular, The only downside of the show was darkest hour of course.
Oh yeah one more thing, the start of this song is exactly the same as a Napalm Death song. I just can't remember the song title and Napalm Death's logo looks the same too. *NOTE*, in saying that, I'm not ripping on Napalm Death because I actually like them.
If you want to get really technical about it, Repulsion took this intro from another song they did on demos, Crack of Doom. The original Stench of Burning Death doesn't have it.
And it's a shame to have lost such an amazing album. Just find a place to download it from since you've already bought it before.
Last year my bag was stolen and I had CDs in it and this album was one of them. Fuck I miss this album so much I have to come on here to listen to it lol! Oh well I'll just have to fork out some money for another copy damn it! I'm pretty sure this was the 1st band to use blast beats.

Yes, ND used to do that intro live on "Deciver" Lee Dorrian-era, as shown here: watch?v=LmrTvTy8MTE

Depends which ND logo you mean. ND had at least 8 (eight) different logos.
