What is with this faggot? Trying to bring some liberal meaning to everything? Amy Sedaris is like the only funny woman on the face of the planet, back off you shaved head queer.
I WOULD BE SOOOOO HONORED TO BE ABLE TO USE THAT CRABCLAW ROACH CLIP WITH HER SOMEDAY!!!!...What a COMEDIC GENIUS!!!!...Amy Sedaris and I must have been separated at birth or something!!!...I have loved to dress up as other charactors 'especially ugly ones who dont know it' all of my life... and still do! I also write comedy and have a production compony myself!!!...She is MY HEROINE!!!!!! x )
She is so smart, quick, witty, cute and freakin' sexy. She doesn't give a fuck. and that makes her cool too. I just want to lick her shins. Please, just one leg lick.
Big DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN.. A FAT guy can look at himself in the mirror and think he is all that plus a bag of chips or Crisps if your from the UK.. However, A slightly overweight woman can do the same and INSTANTLY DEVELOP ISSUES.. WHy is this women??... Too much dang COSMO and going by what the STUPID celebs here in Hollywood look like.. I prefer women with a little meat on the bones...
@hollywoodhottie19 I look less at their physical appearance and more at their personality and intelligence. To me an ok looking person can be fabulously sexy if she's funny and smart. Conversely, a beautiful woman is of less interest to me when I discover she's no smarter than my shoes.
I love, love, love Amy. I watched this that night and I was taken aback. She was bored and dismissive of George. She seemed like she had to be there and not like she wanted to be. She really gave him the boots the whole interview. She was decidedly unfunny and it was jarring. Maybe he pissed her off earlier or something? It was uncomfortable to watch for sure.

@lilmonsoongirl I agree. Her humor is basically a continuation of the high school popular crowd "let's make fun of people we think are weird" stuff that's found throughout the US. Americans tend to consider her "edgy" and hip but, as quirky as she seems, she's pretty shallow really, and very American in her insistence that she's "not political."
@colibri1 That's not true... you probably have not followed her very long, if at all. She's not making fun of people who are different - she's standing up for them. Giving them a face. Here's a quote by Amy: "I'm drawn to people who look different. I'm not exploiting. I'm not making fun of them. I'm drawn to them. We're all used to seeing pretty people. I want to see real people." Just give her another chance, is all I'm saying. She can be a lot funnier than she is here.
@ObscurityMiss86 I've actually been following her for around 6 years, hence my comments. And I do find much of what she does funny, but after watching so much of it, I came to the conclusion stated. I've heard her say things like the quote you give many times, but I think her critics have a point. It's kind of like in the 70s when Carol Burnett got a lot of criticism for dressing up as fat people and doddering old people. Yeah, it can make people laugh, but what are they laughing at?
@colibri1 Interesting... I'm sorry I misjudged you. You've actually been following her for a little bit longer than I have, so I can tell you have some knowledge behind your opinion. I love Carol Burnett too, so what can I say? I don't consider myself a shallow person, but I can laugh at these sort of things if they're done tastefully.
@colibri1 I think they're laughing at REALITY!...That's where TRUE comedy comes from....If U have nothing strong to draw from...then it tends to go limp and seem contrived or made up! I guess it's just a matter of taste or opinion.= /
@colibri1 If you're not from America it's possible that you don't understand the context within which she operates. Her humor is more about taking something we consider normal, heading it to some goofy extreme, or inserting some modicum of reality. It's not political in and of itself, but it helps us see other shows like 90210 or iCarly for the horrifying things they really are. It simply reveals, without making a point -- that's how I see it, anyway.
@offspringfan32 Yes. Amy is well known for her love of pot, one of the coolest things about her. At least two of her siblings are into it, too, probably owing to their being old enough to have been teenagers in the 70s.
she is the funniest woman alive

Amy Sedaris is so amazing and funny, such talent and such humor. Between her and her brother David, I'm not sure who I like the best.

I read david's book (amy's sister) called me talk pretty one day. Their dad seriously is hilarious just by descriptions of him on the book.

I felt sorry for him as he interviewed her - she seemed like she had no interest in being there - not a person worth interviewing
