@kjbechtel its 552awhp which means its All wheel horse power. the engine produced bhp should be well above that at a near 600bhp or so.

If the stopping distance on the drag strip isnt enough for the car's brakes then yes a parachute is required

of course it will eat v8's its a BUILT UP evo....but STOCK vs STOCK camaros and mustangs rape this shit. For example, the new evo will do 13.5 @ 101 that is not slow by any means. But a new mustang will do 12.8 @ 109. That's more than half a second quicker and 8 miles per hour faster than an evo. So please dont talk shit about v8's because the fastest drag cars out there are v8's just saying...

@sergsrt8 its dumb of you to say that. I know of atleast 6 Daily driven evos that have crossed 200,000 miles on the odo. To understand why they do so it is very simple. Just because a 2 litre engine puts out stock 300 bhp out of it it doesnt mean they wont last long. There is something called as "Engineering" which gets into an advanced level every year and that is what these Japanese cars excel at. There is a reason why 4G63's put out 1100awhp at the drag tracks.

There is a kid who got his motor built (not sure were he went) and it blew before he even got home with it lol but it was an sti not an evo. Are those flat motors weaker than the inline motors?

@sergsrt8 The Boxer in the STI arent as strongly put as the 4G63s for you to pump out mindboggling and reliable hps. They are very limited in terms of tuning.

A stock 4g63 can pump upto 1700hp (max) and this is where reliability factor stands at 0. Which is why 700 bhp is not even close to "Pushing it" for an evo. The only reason you hear ppl complain about blowing up their engine is because you tune it with the wrong ppl who offer u cheap rates for it or those ppl are new to it.

@sergsrt8 Na, not stock internals. While the block can survive upto that level, the internals were specifically designed for the base evo with 300bhp. They use Forged internals there. And the max hp a boxer engine can push, I have no official figures on that one but im pretty sure it is way less than the 4g63's. Nobodys tested one of those i guess.
