As oil declines, we will ALL be in deep trouble, even India depends upon cheap oil to pump it's water, fuel it's tractors, make plastics, fibers, make it's pesticides and herbicides and provide transportation and natural gas to make it's fertilizer and many other products.
We in the USA will suffer much as we are totally dependent upon fossil resources
We "eat" oil and 97% of all transportation is powered by oil as is all manufacturing, without cheap oil, billions will die.

India is not the only country facing a catastrophe, most of the worlds people.
Yes, I'm lucky to be living in the worlds richest country with the greatest income disparity of all the industrialized countries but I'm also lucky to have my small home paid in full, my old car is paid in full and I have no debts other than the usual monthly bills. It's true we don't have poverty like so many suffer in poor countries, but we are getting there.

India has a poverty problem but I'm also proud to say it's improving. For a country under democracy and being attacked over 5 times, its very strong. The only downside was that our economic money is diverted to a military to keep a stand up against China, which Im sad to say their communism isn't coping nicely with a superpower neighbour, which is why they've befriended India's neighbours, especially Pakistan. Poverty is reducing, as well as literacy rising. Stop showing old news.

Before oil, the world population was about 1 billion and after oil it will be that again.
Billions of us will die due to resource wars, disease and starvation.
Every year, 70 million humans are added to an already excessive population.
Only those few areas of the world that have not become dependent upon oil will continue on but may be overrun with hordes of people from failing areas.
There are no new continents to conquer, there is no escape.

The US is also very overpopulated and as fossil resources decline and the cost of them rise, that will become painfully obvious to even the dullest.
Cheap oil is what made such a huge population possible.When fuel becomes too expensive for the farmers, less food can be produced.
How much food could any country produce without irrigation pumps, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, tractors etc?
We will see starvation again and not just in India but world wide.

Advocating overpopulation could be only found in modern traditions. Current materialistic society defines service as the gratification of one's senses. As a result, we create an imbalance in nature.
