  • that is awesome, is it just a sound effects coming from a speaker somewhere or is that the actual noise of the gears grinding? still the best steampunk ive ever seen i want it <3

  • +1 for AFI :) awesome wings, too.

  • That, is AMAZING!!!!!!!! Did you have a hand in making it??

  • It looks really cool!

The idea of having the wings be transmitters is a unique one!

There was a guy at the World Steam Expo who had folding canvas wings, but they were a lot bigger than this.

  • Nice music choice ;)

I've had a few attempts at making these myself, but i always run out of money before the end ^^; can you tell me how much the parts cost for this?

    Thanks for showing us!

  • very cute backpack. Ama is now a steampunk, LET IS REJOICE XD! Im still trying to get my first pocketwatch T_T

  • That's so very awesome! Oh my god! I want to get into steam punk soooo bad...

  • can that fearless leader and prop master give some insights on how to make something like this? (not to copy.. but in holland, steampunk is almost none exitend.. and well.. how else can we learn?)

  • to be a steampunk is kinda simple; act like your in the 1800s, own a pocketwatch with visible gears, and get gears and other polished brass things together and invent things that is ether a mix on something you have (like make a new case for your computer) or jest make a backpack like that. you can find tutorials everywhere i found some on deviant art.

  • Wow Danny must be an exelent craftsman!

  • <333 Those are amazing. I quite admire your backpack. It is inspiring in a way.

  • Cool to see this in action finally.

  • that is so amazing!

    beautiful!

  • OOPS, I accidentally hit "remove" on someone's comment instead of "reply" ... :/

Anyway, to the person who said we should make the wings move, they do! They're not mechanized, but you can move them up or down manually.

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • wow that was awesome!

  • Pretty nice device there. =)

  • Nice! That looks really awesome. Did you make it yourself?

  • Our fearless leader and prop master, Danny, is responsible for its construction. Thanks ^_^

  • That's incredibly sexy. Is the grating noise from the mechanism?

  • Yeah, it kind of makes this little clicky noise as the gears spin around, and the grating noise is the motor.

  • Ah I see. That backpack is just made of pure awesome!
