Kane brought his mask back because it's his 'true essence'. In the summer in his promo before his match vs Randy Orton which he lost only to later be taken out by Mark Henry, he mentioned something about how he wanted to exorcise his humanity, and regain his old monstrous self back. He felt he was too 'human' (ala his panicking and worry after Show was 'run over' by Del Rio.).
