  • this brings back so many memories. I'm about to be fifteen and i still love these old episodes.

  • @JamesPriceJohnson thats what these episodes are for

  • The runaway theme is William Tell Overture

  • that Alec Bladwin

  • Why does Alec Baldwin give James a gay voice?

  • James is so gay. lol

  • it would be hilarious of the signal man changed the wrong one

  • it sounds horse races the runaway theme

  • "I'm Alec Baldwin. I have no enthusiasm about what I'm doing."

  • @blargwee Angelis doesn't have enthusiasm doing. That's why his narration sucks NEARLY as bad as Baldwin's.

  • @startug What? Angelis is a great narrator! Is it just because he doesnt make accent? Oh yeah sure.....let a BRITISH voice actor make BRITISH accents for BRITISH characters....

  • @Dustehue928 That is your opinion and I will let you express it, I just expressed mine as I really dislike Angelis. He doesn't give voices, he just uses the exact same for almost every one of them.

  • @startug Hmm he does give a small accent to Donald and Douglas. But you must understand it would be really hard for a british voice actor trying to give an accent to british characters

  • @Dustehue928 It wasn't just that, it sounded like he had a cold. I'll even admit that Brandon was terrible at his narrating too.

  • @startug Tbh i find all the American narrators terrible. Hmmm i can agree Angelis can sound kinda slow sometimes but. I think it adds more to the characters. The American narrators kinda.....just tells it like theyre reading an essay of some sort

  • @Dustehue928 I hate all American narrations except for Ringo's and George's. Those guys were truly amazing.

  • @startug Hmm, yeah George was the best US narrator eventhough i dont like it that much. Ringo Starr was just grande! Though I liked the UK narration better. Its like those who dub it in the US WANTS it to sound so boring and simple

  • @Dustehue928 It's just that Ringo did a great job with both versions, George Carlin was the number one narrator, and Angelis MADE it boring. When he "sings" Pop Goes Ol' Ollie, near the end he is just like, ah screw it and stops singing and justs says it.

  • @startug Yeah that can I agree with. But i think what I mean is that Angelis is very good at narrating generally and Carlin is very good at the special or extreme occasions like Pop Goes Ol' Ollie

  • this is my favorite episode toad sped past henry

  • Gordon's face is the model of "WTF?!"

  • At 2:35 Gordon was like, "Holy steam whistles! What was that shit?!"

  • i like gordon and james expression when they see toad coming and passing

they are like what the Hello lol!!

  • theres go to be a moter in toad to do that

  • The narrator is Alec Baldwin?

  • i dont see a hand ether

  • whats up with toads voice???? micheal angelis does it better

  • I paused at 3:19 and I found a hand pushing the troublesome trucks

  • if its a hand wheres the arm its a device which pushes toad

  • Its not a hand its a device that is made for pushing runaways like this 1 for instance

  • You do know that Carlin's dead, don't you?

  • Carlin should do funny episodes and baldwin should do chases and runaways

  • Idea for novel

    "The Backwards Rush" By

    Toad The Break Van

  • i dont see a hand

  • Actually a hand is pushing the freight cars at 3:19 because I watched the episode on a Cranky Bugs VHS.

  • Just before somewhere around 3:19 Pause and you'll see a red motor car pushing the Trucks/Frieght Cars.

  • It seems like at 2:56 that James does hit the last freight car.

  • george carlin's voice is so much fuckin better.

  • Toad Gets an Adventure Going Forwards

That He'll Never Forget! Note The quality

    is a little Bad

  • You are so right nikeshoes306! James DOES sound like a gaybo!

  • Not that I don't like Baldwin's Toad voice, but it gets a little annoying after a while.

I think this episode would have been just a little better if they'd been able to use Carlin's Toad voice, because it was just too damn cute.

  • 2:49-2:58. James sounds like a gaybo when he says "oh my goodness" and "what was that

  • Black people watch Thomas!!???!!!

  • YES THEY DO!!! I know, because I'M BLACK!!!!! AND I happen to enjoy the series very much

  • my little brother's black and he watches Thomas as well.

  • better than the uk one. I grew up watching it. my fav ep ever!

  • I like how the runaway theme "mixes" into the William Tell Overture

  • this is a great episode

  • 1:36. Bad quality, though it is, if I were Oliver, all I could say is "Uh-Oh!"

  • it is a bit off sync

  • He makes Oliver and Toad (Mostly Toad) sound English LOL

  • when oliver went through edwards station edward was just leaving with the brakedown train. didn't anyone tell him to stop he might be need for toad? didn't he see toad? still love them all!

  • anyone noticed that the red truck in oilvers train keeps going somehwere.

  • The conductor was a dumbass for leaving toad instead of putting on the brakes

  • Nice one.

  • I loved how Baldwin does Toad's Voice, especially from :47 - :57

  • Quite a wild ride indeed! XD

  • I like the runaway theme

  • i can play it on piano

  • William Tell overture wonderful piece

  • @trainmaster4449 what is the name of that song?

  • @trainmaster4449 its called william tells overture

  • Very cool to see it posted.

  • Did you all notice that in the very beginning they say how Toad watches all the engines and cars going forwards, and they show Clarabel, who travels backwards?

  • the song from 1:34 to 3:53 is some of the William Tell Overture

  • I quite like Star and Angelis and US ones are OK and I think Brosnan is going to be good.

  • If Brosnon stinks in the US version, our pain is your pain and vice versa. But if he's good, then horrah!

  • starting at 0:03, if you look in the back, the rails just end!

  • also when the shunter switched the tracks to where Toad was about to hit on James, it would actually save Toad but not James. He would've derailed.

  • AB does a muh better job than MA in this episode

  • Scary...

  • and at 1:04 it's that common truck's face on a truck van. and at 1:47 alec baldwin did a perfect voice for that truck.

  • the narrarator is too young he makes oliver sound like he is choking.

  • LOL @ 2:48 james sonds like a gay guy.

  • I know right, how come james sounds like a fag when he is straight?

  • Are u sure he's straight? He sure seems to like himself more and not anybody else lol

  • I will not lie, james does sound kinda like a gay person. LOL

  • I love this episode. The conductor jumping clear was funny, stupid conductor!

  • hi. please would you upload the backwards version becuase its very funny.

  • at 2:48 i thought toad would say, "OH, MY GOD!!!"

  • Sorry about my comment. Was the cowboy theme playing?

  • why does Henry's face look quite notcibly different?! his forehead is HUGE!

  • Taken from Cranky Bugs.

  • This was when Thomas and Friends was still good...

  • that conducters a wuss

  • the conductor is a pussy for leaving toad like that.

  • Like, WTF? Stupid conductor!

  • right there where toad passes gordon at 2:34 gordons face was so like WTF WAS THAT!

  • Balwin is very good at doing voices for Thomas. Michael Angelis is just all monotone and boring.

  • for real he makes the engines sound all high and shit or like they have stuff in their mouths

  • YOU ARE WROOOOONG!!! he sucked at doing a voice for george starr and carlin were waaaay better!!!

  • geroge carlin and ringo starr lol

  • I like Starr Carlin and BNaldwin But Angelis is a clown

  • yea but he is terrible with James

  • LOL! The part of the cowboy music is heard during the runaway Toad with the freight cars!

  • One of my favorite episodes!

  • SOnic, your right

  • At 2:57, when the trucks just made the tracks; wouldn't that have derailed James?

  • yes they would

its their fault that they dont make realistic shows

    still great ep,

  • Isn't this the last time you see the base of Gordon's hill (where the arch is)?

  • Gordon's Hill isn't the same without that bridge at the bottom of the hill. As a matter of fact, the Hill looks nothing like it was back then! Where'd all the trees come from?

  • Actually the part from the top to the bottom is what really changed. The hill now goes straight down and curves near the bottom. In the old days Gordon's Hill was suppose to go left, then right and finally straight. However that's all changed now. *Sigh*

  • its always had a bridge and then goes into edwards staion

  • Hard to believe but Baldwin actually did a better job narrating this rather than Angelis. Angelis was so unenthusiastic when he did this.

  • Alec Baldwin actually gave Toad and Oliver good voices in this episode. However he could have also given Scottish accents to Donald,Douglas, and Duncan for seasons 5 and 6.

  • THANK YOOUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Make more Oliver and toad episodes like Oliver's find, Escape, Toad stands by? Eah? Maybe some Duck episodes? There both great western!
