you can put cardboard to seal hte wheel gaps, or else their tails will get snagged.

The video footage is OLD from the early 1990s, before you were born, the mice had a happy long life:)

get a wheel with a solid surface. Their tail can get snagged between the bars.
Never happened to mine. I think it's fine as long as they don't crowd it.

it's so weird I have the same wheel. and my two mice look like yours, I have a dark gray mouse and a white with brown markings. that type of wheel the mice don't like because the gaps are two big

The mice kept chewing on plastic wheels or toys. Plastic is not a good 'food' ;-)
