Cutler didn't deserve to make the Pro Bowl last year and didn't really have all that great of a season. You do realize that many times the INT's happen, the WR's ran the wrong routes. Knox is just a rookie trying to learn the system. Bennett never played last year and is the starter by default this year. And Hester is not even a real WR, because Lovie Smith was stupid enough to claim "Hester is our #1 receiver." Olsen has alligator arms. The O line sucks because Forte can't even run without getting hit in the back field. Once the O line cant even handle a 3 man rush in a couple of games.
There will always be those people making excuses for Cutler. The Bears defense is actually better statistically this year than last year. They are giving up more points because of all Cutler's turnovers. Cutler's offensive supporting cast is no worse than what Orton had last year. Orton isn't really that bad of a QB. Chicago just doesn't know how to develop QBs. Orton will get better in Denver when he gets more comfortable in the offense. McDaniels offense is one of the most complicated.

The Bears spent more time on the field than any other D in the NFL thanks to the offense not sustaining drives. They gave up 21 ppg which was a let down, but it wasn't as bad as 28 ppg. They were still 2nd in takeaways (usually 1st), 5th against the run, 3rd in ypr, 8th in ypp, and 7th in overall defensive efficiency. They have added player, everyone's healthier, and most important the coaching is signficantly better. 21st in yards doesn't mean shit as long as you do everything else.

Orton's first year as starter = 9-5 (Rex came in and won the last two games). Rex's first year as starter = 13-3 and Super Bowl. Rex can get to the playoffs unlike Orton. So when Orton gets in the playoffs (highly unlikely now with DEN and that pathetic "defense") then you can compare him to Rex. Rex is still out there! Andre Johnson had a long TD (don't know if it was 55 yards or not). Orton had about a 9 yard TD pass to Lloyd. Bears never completed a pass longer than 30 yards UNTIL the HOU game, when once again Orton underthrew it and Hester had to come back and make a great catch. Rex didn't have a problem chuckin it.

Ortons rookie season he had the 2nd best defense in the NFL. Cutler never had anywhere near that in his 2 yrs starting. Hes 13-1 when the defense gives up 21 or less.

Orton only won 2 more games than Cutler this year and that was with two of the best receivers in the game, probably the best o-line in football behind the Colts, and a number one defense to play behind.
With Orton the Bears probably only win 4 or 5 games. At best.

Cutler didn't deserve to make the Pro Bowl last year and didn't really have all that great of a season. You do realize that many times the INT's happen, the WR's ran the wrong routes. Knox is just a rookie trying to learn the system. Bennett never played last year and is the starter by default this year. And Hester is not even a real WR, because Lovie Smith was stupid enough to claim "Hester is our #1 receiver." Olsen has alligator arms. The O line sucks because Forte can't even run without getting hit in the back field. Once the O line cant even handle a 3 man rush in a couple of games.

There will always be those people making excuses for Cutler. The Bears defense is actually better statistically this year than last year. They are giving up more points because of all Cutler's turnovers. Cutler's offensive supporting cast is no worse than what Orton had last year. Orton isn't really that bad of a QB. Chicago just doesn't know how to develop QBs. Orton will get better in Denver when he gets more comfortable in the offense. McDaniels offense is one of the most complicated.

You never saw any of the games did you? All the games that resulted in blow outs were because of the pass rush being too weak. Cutler has inexperienced WR's and more than half of the interceptions are not even his fault. Not to mention the bad offensive line. Cutler is having a bad year but what QB didnt have a bad year? Farve had a 30+ INT's in one of his years. As soon as the coaching change is done, Bears just need to build around Cutler.

He also threw fewer INTs in Denver than Cutler did last year. I guess Cutler just throws a lot of INTs. Orton had inexperienced WRs in Chicago last year as well.

As I said, you never saw any of the games. Most of the interceptions happen late in the game when the score was already racked up against the Bears. Not to mention Cutler isnt dealing with the same WR's with the exception of Hester.The offensive line isnt the same as well. 3 players on the offensive line are new to the Bears starting line (Pace, Omiyale, Williams). Cutler is not dealing with the same team Orton had last year.

That might have been the worst game buy a Bears QB in their history. I knew Orton would put up better numbers in Denver and Cutler would be a colossal bust. I would genuinely rather have Orton over Cutler, for the simple fact Cutler has thrown 57 interceptions over the past 3 seasons, and has yet to make the playoffs in his career. I watched him lose to the 49ers to prevent a playoff place his rookie season, then there was the awful 7-9 season. Then, when you thought he may finally cut out the turnovers, he throws 4 picks in the final 3 games last season to blow an 8-5 lead. No winning record since high school makes his rocket arm irrelevant.

how do the Bears suck, exactly? They're definitely a playoff-bound team. They had a couple mistakes last Sunday that narrowly cost them the game v. the Falcons, who are also a good team. Other than that, they're strong on D, they have the two fastest receivers in the league and a probowl QB. At the very most, their o-line is a bit shoddy, but they're def. going to have a good several seasons ahead.

I'm not worried about it. Bears can win by building around Cutler. Problem with Bears D this year is no different from Broncos issues last year. They hemorrhaged out more points than what the offense can shell out. A bunch of bad contracts are going to be let go from Chicago and the Bears have a nice surplus of money to throw around. Not to mention once they get rid of Lovie Smith (ie the QB ruiner) they upgrade to get an actual coaching staff. Broncos can now join us in the off season.

The Bears did nothing on Defense to change, Denver got rid of their entire D except for the best Corner in the league in Champ Bailey and great Lineback DJ Williams from the U. Oh and Dumerville had 10 sacks last year so that was pretty good too. Denver's D will be a lot better.

The Bears spent more time on the field than any other D in the NFL thanks to the offense not sustaining drives. They gave up 21 ppg which was a let down, but it wasn't as bad as 28 ppg. They were still 2nd in takeaways (usually 1st), 5th against the run, 3rd in ypr, 8th in ypp, and 7th in overall defensive efficiency. They have added player, everyone's healthier, and most important the coaching is signficantly better. 21st in yards doesn't mean shit as long as you do everything else.

The Saints game, the ball was underthrown and against one of the worst pass defenses in the league. 55 yarder against HOU? See, you don't know what you're talking about. There was no 55 yarder. Andre Johnson had a long TD (don't know if it was 55 yards or not). Orton had about a 9 yard TD pass to Lloyd. Ortons rookie season he had the 2nd best defense in the NFL. Cutler never had anywhere near that in his 2 yrs starting. Hes 13-1 when the defense gives up 21 or less.
