Oh shut up, these people don't have the privileges everyone else has to have a good amount of resources to be used as food. In a poor place where you have nothing you must rely on what you do have. Dogs are animals just like cows, before people decided they could be pets I'm pretty sure they were a delicacy.

Panic, I agree that the guy you're responding to is an a**hole, but can't agree with your argument. Vietnamese don't eat dog because they're poor, (with the exception of the occasional person who may grab a dog off the street because he/she can't otherwise afford meat). They eat it simply because they like it, or like its supposed health benefits. Dogmeat is sold not far from my house in Saigon. I'll check the price next chance I get, but I'll bet it's just as costly as beef, if not more so.

I saw this in vietnam too. It's unusual for carnivores (humans) to eat other carnivores (dogs) especially when one has bred the other to be an animal that works WITH it (herding sheep, guarding properties and saving lost people, for example) Dogs were never meant to be food for humans, no matter how "good" they taste.

Some or most will in fact NOT bite unless pushed into a corner. It is in a dog's nature to be friendly, because that is how we developed them. Just because something happens, or is common practice, doesn't mean it's right. It would be more prudent to teach a dog to hunt for you- that would get you lots of meals instead of just the one meal of dog. It's called common sense and lateral thinking.

Listen to me. I agree with you too. I don't like the idea of humans eating dogs either, but I am not against those who do. You cannot expect everyone to follow what your beliefs are. You cannot deny people the food they are used to eating in their own country. Man's best friend or not, it is a delicacy in some country whether we like it or not.

I don't expect anything or deny the rights of anyone. I'm just saying it would be more economical to use a dog as a tool- which is why they were created in the first place- rather than as a meal. I'm sure my duck would be delicious but instead I get eggs from her every day and instead of being fed for a night, I am fed for a few years! It's just common sense.

myrooster, by your logic we should never eat chickens. The fact is that we can indeed have our cake (chickens) and eat it too. Same for dogs. I live in Saigon and, while dog meat is available every day in the market down the street, many here keep dogs as pets, guard dogs, etc. It's simple free market economics: where there is demand, a supply rises to meet that demand. We all have our cultural biases. As you form your opinions of "right" and "wrong", please be introspective about your own.

Those laughing in the video need their own audience. One which adores and cheers the raping and fucking of their family members while they are forced to watch. Quick point for those who are squeamish about this and other, asian food habit's. Several hundred million people believe that eating beef is wrong ( Indian Hindu's). About a billion muslim's believe that not only is eating pork wrong but dog's are unclean animal's too. Nobody seem's to have a problem with eating lamb( a sign of peace), even dove's ( another sign of peace) are eaten regularly in western countries. Different culture's have different view's.
