It's really cool when they do that. It means they're happy and young. Older guinea pigs won't do that very often. My guinea pig is 6 months. He has a small cage (door always open) where he sleeps but he plays all day outside (in my bedroom)where he runs crazily like that.
My guinea pig does that every night at a certain time.
