I am Lenise Forrest. I wish that I was able to explain in depth the situation. I was mistreated in this case. I am doing very well today ! After the eviction I stayed with a friend while looking for a new place.I found my own apartment 21/2 months after the eviction. My words on the most horrible day in life is God don't make any mistakes. I will celebrate this day coming soon I was shaking but not broken !!! GOD IS AWESOME.

Please build real estate and move the housing away from downtown. This is prime River North / Old Town real estate and cost of living is much higher than the west & south sides. Why put people in public housing when the closest grocery store is down the street from Whole Foods? You need to put these people in a more-affordable area that better suits their incomes or lack thereof.

These are CHA (public) housing apts...requiring people to pay little or nothing to stay depending on their economic status. Does this woman have or did she has employment???

At 7:10 of the video, she states she has no money saved.....my question is that section 8 vouchers have been given out to deserving residents or public housing....could this be a place that was SUB-LEASED...meaning that it is in grandmoms name...other family stay there for free....hmmmm...need more answers here...

Housing is not a human right. Unless, of course, you think you have a claim on another person's labor.

The solution here is simple. The City should privatize this part of Cabrini Green and turn it into a Condominium Association. People like Mrs. Foster will receive a deed to her unit. Then it's up the community to fend for themselves.
