Beside, WaW is sold in Japan, and you can find it on amazon jp, and there are favorable reviews by Japanese.

Maybe this dubbed version's voices are not so fancy, but... I think this is better than a not-dubbed version. Not only for the Square Enix, but also for japanese gamers. Maybe these voices sound awful, but hearing is better than reading anyway.

I can understand if non-Japanese troops speaking Japanese is too immersion-breaking for Japanese players... but otherwise, I can't see what's wrong with the dubbing, the voice acting in Japanese is awesome.

Regardless of whether this is a poor dub or not, I think dubbing games is a lot more acceptable than movies, given that they can redo the lip-sync to match. Doubt they did this here though.

Japanese Military were pretty brutal during World War II, they pretty much deserved what they got.

But we killed 0.25 millionCIVILIANS with the worst possible death. I think that's worse than them killing soldiers prepared to die. Most of the japanese military were bakers, clothing shop owners, etc... all normal people forced to join a cause mandated by their Emperor. The German population has generally accepted, moved on and felt sorrowful for their tragic past, on the other hand, the Japanese are heavily ashamed/embarassed and would not accept a culture wrenching game like COD5

I don't know, Japanese soldiers and their commanders were pretty sadistic, even during World War 2 times.

They killed, tortured and raped some 20 million + civilians.

About as bad as the Nazi's.

America killed maybe 0.25 million as you said civilians? From bombing strafes in Tokyo, and the two atom bombs.

The civilians didn't deserve it. But, the soldiers got what was coming to them. I wish they hung the emperor and his generals.
