This isn't the right way. Place the tips of your fingers on the back/side of your head and fix your eyes on a certain spot on the ceiling. Don't put pressure on your hands, cause it'll pull your neck up which is bad for the neck, and makes the excerise easier at the same time. Don`t know when this is posted, cause this is old-time sit ups, but sit ups has barley no effect from 65-70* and up to 90* as his doing from 45* to 90*. This is a half cheating sit up. You should go from no longer down then around 30* (to avoid back problems) and up to around 60-65 (suit yourself). you should spend 2-3 seconds on your way down, as you use all your force getting back up, also keep your chin up high, if you do try this out, you will feel it a lot more in your stomach.
He goes halfway because that's as far as you need to go. If you relax the crunch all the way, you'll end up partially resting the lower back and ab muscles as your upper back lays against the mat and then put a lot of stress and strain on them coming back up. What i've learned keeping your hands behind you neck dosn't cause any injures, but when u do crunches/sit-ups you shouldn't keep your hands behind you neck becouse it will make the practice easier and you training wont be perfect, i recomend you to keep your hands cross you chest instead, all tho thats what ive learned and i cant be sure that thats the right think to do :)
dont put your hands behind your head across your chest is better... its also important to build the muscle in your neck... plus holding your head could lead to injury

yeah, you're right. it's like with weight-lifting. any time you put the weight down, you're resting, and thus not building the muscle. by putting your back to the ground, you're resting, and your abdominals are no longer tensed.
his sit ups are actually not bad at all.... although i beleive you should mix, sit ups with leg raises and hand weights/leg weights. that way you never really get use to 1 thing... kepp the stomach always doing different... what i find burns is leg raises like so.... 1st set 21. pause hold for 3 seconds 6 inches off the floor .. then 15 for 3 seconds 6 inches off the floor paus.. then 12. hold 3 inches off the floor... the swop partnet..keep re-peating that you'll be strong as hell and ripped up
I think expert village is christian organization,because most of their videos is too softly and peacefully but not so teachful as they need to be o:) but...great thanks&respect to all trainers in expert village for my motivation in doining of all these exercise i was so lazy to do ;)

going all da down is good but you are more likely to get a neck or back injury. so if you just starting to do sit ups crunches are best.

well to me when i go all the way down it feels easier it lets me rest a bit so if you want like a work out thats a bit harder DON'T go all the way down

yeah, you're right. it's like with weight-lifting. any time you put the weight down, you're resting, and thus not building the muscle. by putting your back to the ground, you're resting, and your abdominals are no longer tensed.

his sit ups are actually not bad at all.... although i beleive you should mix, sit ups with leg raises and hand weights/leg weights. that way you never really get use to 1 thing... kepp the stomach always doing different... what i find burns is leg raises like so.... 1st set 21. pause hold for 3 seconds 6 inches off the floor .. then 15 for 3 seconds 6 inches off the floor paus.. then 12. hold 3 inches off the floor... the swop partnet..keep re-peating that you'll be strong as hell and ripped up

Martial artists are not usually faster than a boxer. And if so they sacrifice power for pure speed, like your 6 jabs a second bullshit. A boxer throws one or two hard sticking jabs, it's more effective than 6 pitty pats. Boxers have "best" pure punch out of any style of fighter. It's been proven by science.

WTF are you talking about? Boxers train their legs all the time. Leg condition is a HUGE part of boxing training. Also, boxing isn't all inside fighting. Have you ever heard of stick and move? It relies on movement from the outside and controling space with your jab. You don't know anything about boxing either. Boxers throw punches with full extension to the point of impact. Fully rolling over the shoulder and turning your body with the punch. You're talking about some little pit pat shit. No professional boxer punches that fast, because it's stupid and a waste of energy. Although i am a boxing fan, it must be said that MMA is still a tough sport and shouldn't be looked at in a pitiful way.
However, it has been proven that boxing is a harder sport, as it requires dedication, endurance, power etc
the amount of lactic acid that builds up in a boxers muscles is 5 times as much as any other sport!!
