That thing is the Mashine!!!! It is the best kit ever. You can do sooo much with it. Just type Mashine on youtube and check out everyone else. I think you might like it.

@brayrouz it's not that obvious as u say. If you looked at the Maschine controller you would see that all the groups (A ... H) are loaded.

even if he corrently is on the group with the hihats / snares, it doesn't necessarely mean that he uses the maschine only for those.

anyway even if it was like that, what's the big deal? maybe in this song he needed it only for that.

actually if you watch the comp screen you can clearly see there's more going on than only the hi hats.

maschine can do better he might not have had many time working with maschine and just dropped some random beat, i have one and the sound quality is great, but not enough bass and synth, i have to go to live to load some vst´s

be sure richie hawtin is an experienced user...really. really really really. This guy is the inventor of LiveSet-Hardware-Geeknes-DJ-Se­ts. If there is a simple way to get more in touch with what you are playing (like maschine or Traktor or Allen&Heath Xone) you can be sure Richie Hawtin can handle that thing, uses that thing and probably developed that thing ;-)..
