  • can never get enough of the fish flakes

  • It's pronounced O-doritos-consomme....fuki

  • Wow that looks absolutely incredible.

  • I had both the takoyaki and the okonomiyaki there once and it turned out to be horrible. Maybe it's their style of eating but the batter for both were too undercooked and bland for me. The takoyaki was pretty much a ball of air with a rubbery octopus tenacle in the middle and the okonomiyaki tasted like raw cabbage with flour and water... I'm not saying it's a terrible place, just wasn't to my liking.

  • when a word in japanese is pronounced like it was an english word and just modified... it's wrong T_T When you want to present an authentic meal like that and you want to give the impression you really love it, you should at least pronounce it decently oO o-ko-no-mi-ya-ki, it's sooo not difficult lol. But other than that... okonomiyaki are so delicious :D With kewpie mayonnaise :D

  • oh alex how we miss you!

  • What the hell did she just say? Okonoyamaki? :|||

  • did she say fried crap?

  • @Nerflover10097 fried crepe

  • @ikir14 Oh okay. Seeing how this is Alex van Buren we're talking about.

  • I dont think she should be talking about it like she's an expert if she can't even pronounce it.

  • *okono-miyaki*

  • Its not okono-yamai! Its Prounounced Okonomiyaki!

  • Japanese food....

    BaconStrips&BaconStrips

  • Learn how to pronounce Okonomiyaki before making a video about!! you're butchering it!

  • eww you drink beer

  • okono...yamaki?

  • If you are going to make a report/review please get the name down first.

It's not that hard, if you at least show somekind of effort.

  • O-KO-NO-MI-YA-Ki.

  • She said it differently twice... okonoyamaki? okoniyamaki?

  • gawdamn i wanna move to NY

  • at 1:16 she said the fried crap is satisfying xD

Haters, i realised she was meant to say crab so chill :)

  • Hi, folks. I flubbed the syllables of okonomiyaki in this piece, and I regret the error. Thanks for watching; we really do appreciate your comments on these segments!

  • @madameavb Yet I think it seems no one is enamoured by the idea of fried crap lol :P

  • She says Okono-yu-maki instead of 'Okono-mi-yaki.'

  • okonomimaki my ass. this isn't sushi ffs

  • Yay for Alex doing a cheap eat!

  • 1:13 what the fuck is it moving for

  • @videogamer24385 The heat makes it move, it's paper thin.

  • We all know her first language is not japanese, but how hard is it to practice pronouncing the word correctly before doing the review? Professionalism 0%.

  • Less close up please.

  • 1:15

  • OH KOH NOH MEE YAH KEE

    god damn americans.

  • Just another over priced New York eats place.

  • fried crèpe guys!

  • MARRY ME ALEX

  • Press "8" to make it dance around.

  • "thumbs up if you think the fried crap is satisfying."

  • pronounce it correctly!

  • @WeirdlyBeardly It is pronounced correctly, that's how it's pronounced by the French. There is a flexed accent on the e, causing the vowel to be shortened, if you've been saying "crayp," that's a very American thing!

  • @Pen2AndyP except it's not french, it's japanese... so you don't use french pronunciation. and yeah, "crehp".

  • @Pen2AndyP I'm afraid you are incorrect. It has nothing to do with shortening of vowels. Alex (yes, I love her but...) confused the syllables. Instead of okonomiyaki, she said okoyomimaki. And takoyaki was mispronounced takeyaki.

  • @paulelastic I actually meant this towards TheLMack! About how crepe and the other word was spelt, but I know this, I just read the comments and overlooked the mispronunciation.

  • Comment removed

  • @Pen2AndyP Oh I see. Well yes, you're quite right ... crêpes is pronounced crêpe.

  • its pronounced oko NO me yak ee

  • okonomiyaki is so good here in japan

  • did she say fried crap?

    im in love with her

  • I've always found my fried craps satisfying. Who is your friend, Alex van Bow Bow? She have nice bo-ni-to?

  • pronounce it right bitch!

  • It frustrates me that she pronounces it "oko-no-yee-maki" ..How does she even do that?

  • @Xataret not everyone can pronounce every word correctly, im sure japanese isn't her first language. So quit pining over perfection pronunciation.

  • @ModeloIbarra but its so freakin wrong it almost becomes right again <.<

  • I don't live in NY :(

  • Your voice is starting to sound better but avoid that East Village or you'll sound hipster again.

  • @macaw2000 - There are no "hipsters" in the East Village. Just yuppies, NYU children and junkies.

  • No, otafuku!!!

  • 1:17 that's what she said.... oh wait... that IS what she said

  • Excellent recomendation. Ethnic, honest, authentic, and affordable.

  • Alex Van Buren represents "hipsters who do it right".

  • 1:15 the fried crap is satisfying trololol

  • Yay. Another CHOW Report in which the end Alex has a food, a drink, and a fun.

  • @thePowerPlant thats like saying "Yay, Another CHOW tips in which it opens with CHOW tips"

  • @JimmyDasnitch92 Oh, its a call-back to her original videos when she didn't have pictures of herself having a food, a drink, or a fun. I do it on each of the NY CHOW Reports. I know its redundant, but hey its just the internet.

  • I don't like her. She's so pretentious. And I am pretty sure that was a latin dude making that Okonomiyaki there... Just sayin.
