  • Gleen, the house looks great! The workers did an excellent job, and it looks very accessible. I am impressed with the bum hose, and you obviously like it too. The wife and I will have to visit.

  • It looks like a beautiful, elegant, swellegant white collar prison for us crips! LOL ...I wanna go ;) ...I really wanna get a hold of that truly amazing BUM HOSE!!! Awesome!!!

  • @immortz Hehehe, yes, it's a big cultural change. I do miss being able to get into the power chair and go grocery shopping, B-line to Vancouver, etc. But we've learned that nowhere is perfect. I was feeling stifled in Canada; my benefits weren't increasing with the cost of living. My benefits, like medical, dental, wheelchair maintenance were constantly being cut back. I was feeling poorer and poorer.

If Canada did something to give employers incentive to hire cripples...

  • Wow. I can hardly get to my kitchen sink to do the dishes and if I get my chair into the bathroom, I can't turn it around or close the door. Access is nice when you can have it. Sometimes it can make all the difference, especially if you're having a hard day. Thanks for the tour or your home and congratulations on having it finished :-)

  • Lovely home, Gleen :-) Very best to you and Katia.

    Lynn
