sigh, priests are much more than "walking Hospitals" they're actually a necessary DPS to have in a lot of raids, given that they're not as good as they were in BC, after "Bring the player, not the class" patch. It was bull in my opinion, but they were the most important dps class in EOG Raids. and still have a big contribution to the raids. *Sighs* oh well. I'll enjoy playing my shaman and paladin. My priest has been abandoned, nonetheless, because I didn't like the Equality patch.

I play shadow all the way, an knowing this, when a pug or instance goes south who was the "hospital." For as you mentioned, I play for the DPS. An yeah shamans are good.

Honestly, I never pug anymore - I hate pugging. A lot of the people on my server are... not exactly the brightest bulbs in the shed. I prefer to just raid. However, if the group goes south, you aren't a walking hospital, you're that guy on the side of the road that happens to know CPR the second it's needed. Just like a ret paladin healing. It shouldn't be as good as your primary healer's heals, but will work for a minimal amount of time.

@Draxxxlin Exactly it really is an L2P issue if the healer dies in a 5 man and they just crack on in shadow. All you have to do is maintain dots and heal away for even more healing.

Just one of my few gripes classes with healing capabilities that don't in that situation :p

Shaman are fun - but blizzard simply hate us for DPS, they say - " AMG NO WHEY U HEEL"

Enhancement shaman are rarely good for PvE because everything that we contribute is replaced by other buffs because of the equality patch, and Elemental shaman dps is way too low, I quote from a blue post on the forums "I don't know why shaman dps is so low"

Though they have high burst, they can't do shit compared to other classes unless lucky procs come. headdesk. oh well.

Enhancement shaman holds really high DPS if you know how to play it, it's just like Kitty Druids: Not many ppl know how to play them, but those who do do ridicoulosly high damage. But I agree with you on the Ele shaman part, the scaling is awful.

@lovingkorvs I have played pvp on my priest since the start of cata and have just started to play PvE on him, I really don't think priests suck so much in PvP, yeah i wasn't the top player on the healing meter but that was because i had to do a ton of other things like mass despell, despell magic and all sorts of things that hadn't anything to do with healing but you had to do it anyways in order to win the RBG. I still dont think priests suck atm
