  • I search a Cooling Pad for the M18x .

Can anyone please help me ? :)

  • I have the M14X and im very happy with it it doesnt get hot on a regular usage like typing or surfing the web or watching youtube but it does get get kinda of hot when its on game play but for a laptop of this size it could handle anything and it does the job with out disappointment.

  • Lately I've actually been having some insane overheating issues with battlefield 3 whilst playing on my M15x, like insane overheating, something like 90 degrees +. Is that normal for yours? if you still have it that is.

If not, do you have any recommendations? Cause my warranty is, expired aaaand this problem is quite recent for me, as you could probably predict it's been effecting gaming performance and my frustration levels :S

  • @bronsdog i dont know wat gfx card is in ur m15x, but i have a m17xr2 n in bf3 it turns into a vacum cleaner n the heat that comes out could easily warm ur feet in the winter. igot ati 5870m in mine. the more stress u put it thru the more ur gonna heat it. a notebook cooler will help 4sure.

  • @omgz8876 I've got the 460m. The thing I forgot to say is that it is not my GPU that overheats it's my CPU, and I've got the i7 740qm. I find this strange because I would have thought that alienware would have been able to design a more appropriate cooling system since this CPU can get so flipping hot

  • @bronsdog ive seen mine dam near hit 50C before the fans kick in. on my 720. i started usin HWiNFO to control the fans, bc i dont want a meltdown before i get sum coolin. failienware let me down in that respect. the fact that there only a passive and active option for the cpu cooling in the alienware fusion is a bit disgraceful. the systems fine when the fans are runnin effectively. its just gettin em there before it gets hot. HWiNFO is the only thing for me that can do it.

  • @omgz8876 NWiNFO that sounds like something that may help me, thank you for your comments I'll definitely check it out

  • +1 thats a nasty noise. RMA that shit!

  • I have this sound too, do you know how to solve it?

  • RMA it, the bearing is fucked.

  • The M15x doesn't need this.. It already has a very efficient cooling system.

  • I cringed when the laptop slid off the cooler

  • I got one and its an awful cooler. my laptop feels exactly as it would without it. Keep in mind buy fans that are about 20$ and get ones that will accommodate your laptop vents. I should have stuck with my 3$ fine, worked perfectly fine, this is obviously an impulse buy. Worthless.

  • 5 volt comes from a usb port...

  • yeah the fan is unbalanced it need checking, myself i would expect the quality control to have checked this before it was sent out. i got the zalman nc3000 exc cooler pad and so quiet .

  • please tell me where you bought the table?

  • por favor voce poderia me dizer onde comprou a mesa?

  • piece of crap, aside from the noisy scraping fan the stand doesn't even set on its legs, and what are the mirrors for? I give this a thumbs down

  • I'm just gonna sit that thing on top of my Antec 1200 ;)

  • @wwwgeekdotcom yea - no homo

  • i can see your face even youre not showing

  • Hey I also have an Alienware M15x and I use mine for a lot of gaming, obviously, and mine gets hot really quickly. Do you reccomend this for me? As well whats the price range that I can get this thing or, if you could, are there one's that are better than this but cheeper?

  • the cooler is moving o.o

  • wd40 you have to put wd40 when that shake comes out

  • you lucky rich bitch =\

  • @gmankillz its not expensive its like 40€

  • @Shayd93

    Dip-shit learn how to type.

The vents on the bottom of the notebook will allow the air to flow into your notebook.

  • co za beznadzieja. wez koles nie nagrywaj takich slabych filmków. Trze ci sie cos w tym wiatraku....zenada

  • Allright what is best, if you are playing really heavy games like FAllout new vegas etc.;

The Antec in this video? The Thermaltake Massive 23 LX? PLEASE I NEED THIS ONFO BADLY!!!!

  • Hey, how blowing up air at plastic cools the insides

  • @Shayd93 thats easy. most laptops underneath have air vents positioned on the hard drive and memory. the main thing you want to get cool is the hard drive and ram dell laptops have exc vents situated everywhere even under the wireless card position.,

  • also if you want to go for high priced cooling pad, ,Zal man, is the way to go !

  • @3mariusx yeah zalman nc3000 exc cooler and quality made as has aluminum plate with 1300 holes in. and a 22cm fan thats 9 inches in old money.

  • nice vid but guys no matter what laptop you buy don't buy cooling pads from that manufacturer, they make them very crap, C oo ler Mast er , Is the best. thrust me.

  • Thats a broken fan!!!

  • You need a new fan... :/

  • total crap for high pc like AW

  • fan is shot

  • u sound like chillfrilla

  • I'm running an m17x with ati 5870 in crossfire, and I'm getting a cooler, for more demanding games or high graphics games the CPU and GPU's both get pretty hot, getting a cooler to be on the safe side.

  • I'm going to maybe be getting a m17x with at the moment best processor (2ghz quad-core) and the "CrossfireX" ati (there was a regular ATI, dual, and crossfirex, i'm assuming that's triple or quad)

If you say the m15x really has very little to no heating/cooling issues, do you imagine my m17x might? i'm not very experienced, but i can't tell if a quad core will run hotter or cooler because it's lesser ghz, but that ghz will be applied to all cores, so i would think hotter .. right? >.<

  • @IamDUFF i would not expect any heat issues. alienware has been good about their thermals this generation

  • Hi, Im in the process of buying a M15x and im just wondering. To replace my old Macbook 13 black!!!!

    PC Games : WoW, HoN, BFBC2, MW2, L4D2, Dota, Dirt 2

What do you think about it?

    Portability? Easy to use?

  • @shuttle2w3 get an asus

  • I just bought this ! No sound at all , and I am using it on high !

  • I want your job!!!

  • is this good for a 17.3 " laptop ?

  • To remove the noise loss the screw two or one noch

  • @Gangstersgreed yes it it still the shit cause it's fully customizable on the website and there always updating them. I suggest the m17x like I got :) ita got alittle more power and is bigger

  • this is sorta retarded

  • hey is this laptop still so awesome cus like last year or 2 years ago this was the shit,it was the best of the best but its 2010 now and i wanna know if its still on top or should i go buy another gaming laptop

or in other words can you still play the games that are coming out today on this laptop with put any kind of issue

  • im thinking of buying a alien ware M15x and im gonna be doing some gaming on it not like 24/7 gaming im also gonna use it as my every day personal laptop nad im wonder ing if is gonna get really hot like that i cant have it on my laps and i mean when im gaming and when im just watching a movie or chating with some friends

  • @GangstersGreed the M15x does not have a cooling problem. It doesn't get very hot at all, especially during general use. I just used it in this text because it was on my desktop.

  • @GangstersGreed My Alienware overheats alot I have an m15x

  • i think ur fan is off sync

  • I picked one up and the fan is silent on high and low. That bites that you got a lemon. :o

  • @TongueDar yea, totally. I can say that I've used a lot of antec products and they tend to have very good build quality. I've only had one other issue with their stuff (a case with electrical problems).

  • M15x doesnt need that, not only does it have a great fan system the metal casing is designed to disapate heat from thermal conducting mounts, maybe if you had it on the bed or something then id see getting this other wise its overkill

  • am so you think this system doesnt need any more cooling things. How about when its in summer the temperatures are high like 27 degrese celcious in your house, do you think it could be useful?

  • @hiti333 useful yes, necessary no

  • guessing that cooler wasnt useful for the M15x?? The M15x sucks in air from the bottom and lets it out through the vents in the back right? Making that cooler counter-productive... or am i wrong?

  • I was just using the m15x b/c it was around and b/c it's big. I really don't think it needs any extra cooling. Alienware did a very good job with the thermals this time.

  • aha i was just about to ask if the m15x needed the cooling.. glad to see it dosnt.

  • @hworangxe

revisit your logic here, if air is being sucked in from the bottom? wouldn't you want the air to be cool?

  • Yes that is a little sorry.

But i don't see how you can cool the M15x off anymore than what it is unless you had fan blow directly in through the intakes. But my M15x is cool on top and bottom. Personal opinion I don't think that do any good unless the fan or fans was right in line with the Intakes. But that is not the point of the video i guess. Just showing it off and seeing if it was worth it i figure.

  • Try notepalx2 from coolermaster for "15-"17 laptops it has 140mm fan with lights and has speed control very sleek design I use it everyday and works flawless quiet as well. Better then antec 4 sure possibly the best laptop cooler on the market.

  • it sounds like the fan is scraping.

  • sounds weird with that tac tac noiseX( u bought that? hopefuly not

  • yes, it's busted, disappointing.

  • looks cool

  • @lordgloppy you know what they say.... Looks can be deceiving.

  • preety big a crappy design for antec looks cheap design

  • I agree. This is one to skip.
