  • Excelente!! Que tiempos aquellos, yo era chiquita cuando veia los

    episodios de Flash Gordon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Para aquel tiempo, no estaban tan atrasaditos, no??

    Love Flash!!! Gracias por compartir.

  • Wonderful. Early television series were simply great!!

  • they make movies like this now days

  • Buster Crabbe is the gold standard for Flash Gordon.

  • I DID NOT KNOW THAT ANYONE OTHER THAN BUSTER CRABBE PLAYED FLASH GORDON

  • FLASH!! AHHH!

  • ''im easley bored with second rate theatrics'' lol

  • This early Sci-Fi TV show came from West Germany, as one of the first TV shows to come from outside the United States. It didn't have a chance against the popular Universal Flash Gordon serials starring Buster Crabbe which were already running on American TV. Crabbe became best known for his Flash Gordon portrayals as well as for Buck Rogers and Tarzan

  • Карашо!

  • The insert of commercials here offends me greatly!

    Screw them!

  • FAKE!!...NO IMAGINATION....

  • This may be the greatest show in the world!!

  • Love Steve (cheesecake) Holland! :) If you watch some of the episodes he eventually gets his shirt off! Ha Ha

  • Flash Gordon episodes are on dvd. I found a bunch in the Wal-Mart $5 bin.

  • How could you be in your mountain lab cut off from things, when the alphabetized light on the wall technology, exists?

  • Lol this show is soooo cheesy yet so (for SOME weird reason) aweome to watch... kinda like star trek like its so stupid but whenever i catch it on i end up watching it lol

  • I love this. It's so delightfully cheesy.

  • WTF?? Why this video last 25:44 minutes? Why he could upload this and I cannot upload my video that last 16:00m??

  • @wwwchucho

It's different for films of interest, especially older films that are public domain.

  • My Mom saw and told me she liked Flash Gordon. I already dig sci-fi. Taking in a few episodes of Flash Gordon suits me as a kind of time travel. I mean taking in this entertainment I can think about the world of imagination and dreams my Mom grew up in. If a person's interested in how society was, changes, and is, these old movies contain rich information on intended and unintended levels.

  • Is it me or does Dale look old enough to be Ming's mother in this?

  • @darklighter1 Friend she's a career woman, give her some slack and act like a gentleman. lol

  • @darklighter1

Well maybe it's him zipping around at the speed of light. You know, she ages while he doesn't. Space creates a slew of unfortunate and messed up relationship issues.

  • @darklighter1 No other people have made that assumption. Course they compare her age to Flash.

  • The starting music was good. Made me want to jump up and down like an ape. :P

  • Flash ahh light !

  • Flash! Aaaaaah!

  • You can't beat Buster Crabbe!

  • they use to play these in the 80's. Not any more.

  • lol its so funny how bad acting was back then :P

  • Wait a minute..... they didn't have the internet in 1954.... hmmm the origin of how this video was posted in that year is a legend in itself

  • Does anyone know where I can purchase the old Chapters of Rocket Man.

  • this actually happened

  • komo xuxa lo hizo para colocar esa fecha

  • Pity there no show like this anymore damn you 3D and digital crap you damn us all for this obvious effect that take away from the actual plot damn you too hell.

  • my name is Gordon

  • Flash ...Save the EARTH

  • I like the old Movies of long ago

  • WTF, youtube has ads?

  • MCMLIII = 1953

  • Absolute classic - when I watched this as a kid I was completely blown away.

@ dancevader - too right buddy cutting edge stuff back in the day

  • DONT TOUCH THE LEATHAL RAY!

  • Holy crud.

  • Would be a good episode for MST3K, especially that flashlight monster fellow dude. I loved watching the 30's serials with those cool spaceships and robots, this is pretty sub par, an Ed Wood'sh sub par. Thanks for posting though, glad I watched it as a fan of the genre.

  • lol it says it was posted 1 jan 1954

  • When this first appeared it was ahead of its time. an epic classic

  • Thats so lame :-D I cannot belife I actually saw all of it. Well I guess if you like Flash Gordon, you have to suffer for that sometimes.

  • i havn't seen this episode since i was a kid in kindergarten.

  • Flash is junkie

  • more content

  • when I went to crazy clarks they were selling dvds of flash gordon adventures (3 eps to a dvd)

  • Yep. There were some at the Dollar Tree too. Didn't buy them. This is the first time I've ever seen this show. It's really fun when they bring back the old TV shows. :)

  • is there a website where i can see more episodes of this series, or was this the only one they made?

  • @GeneralZugg06 you can buy them on DVD for 2 or 5 dollars... just use google

  • Oh no, it's the Evil Flashlight of Doom!

  • Somebody bring an 47 inch HD tv back and scare the sh!t out of them. XD lol

  • The Flash Gordon that is currently showing on tv now is it anything like Smallville where Clark was just learning about his power's is that what Flash is about

  • i was bored to tears .. the movie (1980s) was too awesome

  • @Muzevni

the movie sucks... the animated movie rules.

  • lol. i have that on vhs. hard to find on dvd

  • (smile)

  • "The invasion will bout, is about to begin" Nice! 22:43 How funny that this prehistoric TV show didn't have the money to hire and editing dept. And certainly no "ProTools" to fix any

    'Fuck Ups' Gotta Luv It.

  • a lot of these early tv shows were shot in kinescope (filmed in 16 or 35mm from the monitor for archival purposes) as it went out live over the air. Flash Gordon was as it is now a valuable franchise this show had a fairly good budget as 50s tv goes. see some of the other shows contemporary with this show comander corbit for example which also had a fairly good budget for the times. editing just wasnt possible regardless of an editing dept. video tape came out in 1956 or 57.

  • All of these Flash Gordon TV shows were shot ON film and NONE were live. Everyone knows this series did NOT have a good budget. That doesn't mean we don't like it.... it just means YOU are wrong.

  • For those of you who'd like to see another episode of this series the Movie Archive section of the Internet Archive has some episode of this series along with Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe serial (this was the final Flash Gordon serial with Buster Crabbe in the title role).

  • Thanks for the info. I'm going to look watch the other episodes right away.

  • Love how the commander squeezes the doctor's arm reassuringly at 2:47. "He's in a complete state of nervous shock!" (Gee, guess I oughta comfort him somehow.)

  • Man I hope they post the whole series this is a riot!. It's hard to pick which aspect was worst acting, editing, FX even the budget was sub-par by todays standards but it adds up to high comedy.

  • FLASHLIGHT OF DEATH!!!!!

  • planet........[hilariously long epic pause]

    OF DEATH!

  • Though this was entertaining there are four things I missed:

    1. Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon. He ruled!

    2. Mongo. It was always such an interesting planet to visit.

    3. Ming the Merciless, especially Charles Middletons portrayal of him (though I liked Max Von Sydows performance in the 1980 film too).

    4. Frank Shannon as Zarkov. He and Crabbe seemed to play well off of one another.

Otherwise, a nice twenty-five and a half minutes of entertainment.

  • Steve Holland posed for both the illustration of Doc Savage and Mack Bolan

  • I thought Holland looked familure. I've got a reprint of an old Doc Savage magazine and now that I compare them, I can see it. Talk about irony. The actor playing a pulp hero while illustrated as another pulp hero!

    Thanks for the trivia.

  • Very very chezzzzze !

  • Very very chezzzze !

  • Oh wow, I didn't know there was a TV show too. I've only seen the serials from the 1930's. This looks to be almost as awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • WOW ur cool

    LMFAO

    loser

  • The spirit was willing but the Flash was weak.

  • I wonder when the 2-nd episode will be uploaded :) greetings and thank you :)

  • how did they get a 25 minute video on youtube?

  • I continue to be amazed...... I watched these episodes when I was eight years old......

  • Flash Gordon, What a wonderfull video :D

  • Check out my Movies Playlist for all the movies on Youtube....Enjoy!!

  • "It's face looked as though it had been carved out of a solid block of evil"...ha ha ha ...priceless!!!...I loved this show when I was a young spacer.

  • very good video

  • Somebody put the number down where he says Flash.......AHHHHHHHHHH

  • why is it so big?

  • this made my day! I love classic hokey sci-fi stuff like this.

  • I'm trying to understand what it mut have been like to live in the era this film was made. Watching this movie has me feeling kind of weird in that i just can't imagine how on earth those ppl in that time used to have fun cause this film is so outdated. But at least i respect that era cause without it we wouldn't have been able to improve & move foward in technology & film. It's fun to watch what would have been conidered the 'in thing' in the past.

  • Ven

It was a period of simpler attitudes to morals, truth, heroism, and so on.

  • 1) Not a film.

    2) Think about when this WAS made. No GTA, no Star Wars.

    3) How come i'm 13 and can appreciate this show?

  • Why wouldn't you consider this as a film? Oh well...at least you appreciate it so all is not lost.

  • Well, I consider a film a movie. Don't get me wrong then, this is amazing, I love it!

  • because its a tv show, venus. DUH

  • sweetheart...it is a film...what do you think TV shows are? Something other than a film? There are long films and short films. TV shows are short films (not to say that every short film is a TV show).

  • hey, NYC! I used to drive a cab in New York back in '70.

  • It's true, twenty-two. It is a film. We used to see these in movie houses in the mid 20th century. It's a short film that got lost for a while. That makes it a Bermuda short.

  • FLASH! .....GORDOOOOON!!

  • why are you having a convo with yourself dude get a life, and a girlfriend

  • that girl gave me a pants tent lol jkkkkk

  • Going to invade an entire galaxy? Impressive!

  • west german television never was better and american boob fare will never catch up. la

  • @labyronie In fact around those years West Germany TV produced a much better SF series than this called Raumpatruille Orion (Star Patrol Orion) that followed the same premise of Star Trek. Unfortunately it premiered the same week than ST and it fell into oblivion before the success of it´s american counterpart, despite it´s superb aestetics and script. If you search you can find all its 7 episodes here on Youtube.

  • Sadly it's not as fabulous as the 1980 But still worth watching

  • What's with the fucking commerical at the beginning?

  • they have to have commercials to spronser sites like youtube and hulu otherwise they can't exist.

  • omg

  • it sucks big ones

  • Ah! i have this on dvd, 1 dollar

  • my all time favorite!!!! my dad passed these down to me! and I'm grateful for it

  • i'm actually majoring in astrohydraulics

  • Joe nash is dreamy :)

  • I remember this movie. Wow its still just as horrible...

  • Damn! Livin' in the 50's must have SUCKED BAWLS!

  • in 2050, people will look back and say, "damn! livin in the 2000's must of sucked BAWLS

  • Damn! Livin' in 2050 gotta suck BAWLS, then ;)

  • old people shouldn't make tv shows

  • if they didnt you wouldnt have 9o210 melrose place knots landing andf blah blah blah.. life would be a blur

  • in 50 years, humans on 2050 would look back at us and watch our movies we've made and say are movies sucked too.

  • excellent

  • veyron

  • ♪Flash! Oooohhhh~ Savior of the universe!♪

  • ang panget

  • That thing on the bad guys face looks painful to wear. It's got to blck his vision. Poor actor! Looks like a kid took some aluminum foil and twisted it. Some special effects! And the sets must have cost a fortune. lol They kept going in and out of the stone corridors. For what reason I don't get. And the guards haveing that thing come down their noses. And the ships interior! Looks like lawn chairs or some kind. Oh well! Fun to watch. Thanks for posting.
