  • Soft ass.

  • idk if anyone has told you this yet but you ended way down when you finish you should be up head, chest, hand eerything and it will go much further.

  • Today, i did shotput at the athletics carnival at school, i threw a 5kg shotput 10.71m

  • Im 6 yrs old and throw 5 bazillion meters

  • Im in grade 6 and I throw 7.60 metres

  • THAT'S AN AMAZING PUT!!

  • i throw 31 feet in 6th grade dont know if thats good or bad =P

  • fault

  • your shuffling your foot on the ground. that slideing noise means that your losing momentum and never leaving the ground. You do plant your left leg decently though which allows you to utilize some of the momentum from your legs. your legs are also in great positioning to explode at the last stages of your throw. you landed with your left leg at a ninety degree angle to where it started from so that you dont have to turn it. decent glide

  • ya its cool when u throw it work on switchin ur power leg so u wont scratch

  • Good job ! Just keep ur left hand relaxed by the way what grade are u in ? And the 8 th grader throwing 42 ft . Ur probably throwing a 8 lb

  • im a8 grader an i throw 42feet with the shuffle

  • @rb8whc that's good maybe you'll make it to a crappy division II school for track someday like me haha j/k

  • @thejuice152003 lol D II? gtfo more like DIII

  • @rb8whc you must have a good coach, i didnt have one and my farthest was 39 11

  • @TeamR0Gu3 no my coach sucks dude she always on the cell

i copy whatever i see from the others where are from

  • @rb8whc I'm from a really small school in indiana lol

  • @TeamR0Gu3 im from brownsville texas a boder city

  • sorry bud but im pretty sure you fail

  • idk if anyone put this in yet but u stepped over.

  • @ReInspired97 no you're right...I didn't realize that until now, thanks

  • Good thow but you stepped out

  • disqualified!

  • That was a........Unique throw. You dragged your foot all the way across the ring, and ended outside the ring.

  • um SCRATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im a freshman and i throw a 12 lb, 43 ft

  • relax ur left hand

  • You need to stay down until the very last second of the slide. Once you get into the power position(also known as the standing position) You need to stay down and turn your hips and feet to the front. After you have to block(pull your left hand towards you like you are pulling something and follow through with the hand holding the shot put. Also make sure you have your right elbow up. That should make your throw better.

  • scratch

  • scratch

  • um did he foul???? hehehe

  • you need to fall in more there was a little more of a hop there and you can see the shot stop a little as you land in your power position

  • that sucked im not gonna try fixing it

  • Relax left arm, you have it high up and its supposed to be relaxed until you hit power position to prepare for block.

  • foul lol

  • get your right foot under you more. also, hang your left hand, so you can wrench it around, adding torque to your hips.

  • i really need help with my glide. im a sophomore and i hit 37-38 using the shuffle. i only hit 35 with the glide. i dont know what im doing wrong. any suggestions?

  • do you have a video of yourself doing it? but stop using the shuffle, its garbage.

  • shuffle = worst mistake you can make for any form throw.... do the glide... spin if you want but everyone should start with the glide

  • @TLO421 actually you should start with the power throw which is the basis of all the other techniques

  • @SaltineCrackaBetch well yeah definitely... i meant after that but if that wasnt implied then most definitely ur right

  • I use the glide, out door right now, junior and im hitting 47'4" with it, good technique to master.

  • im a freshman, my PR is 34'6

and that was just "pushing" (when you stand in the front of the circle and windup and throw)

im learning glide now and am hitting about 31-33 everytime

  • scratch :( i'm in track my coach wants me to use the spin technique but for some reason i can't get it now i;n trying the glide

  • shit dude I am a failure indeed.. district meet is on friday and I only throw 26...

Trying to improve my technique any way possible..

  • damn wat r u frosh, soph, jun, sen, im a soph, and i can throw 30 ft 3 and next week im gonna hit 31

  • Ah yeah im a freshman, I can throw 28 now and we're getting a coach.

so i can stop looking at youtube videos to teach me haha

  • Thats pretty good. As a soph I was hittin around 45.

  • me too. my pr is 45'8 indoor but i stepped outdoor and just threw 39'11.

  • damn, why the big dropoff? I've never thrown indoor so I have no idea what the difference is other than possibly a softer material shot.

  • it's bigger and softer as a result. the outdoor shot is really small.

  • wow i threw 35'4" inside and 40'8"outside Its the beginning of the season outside so i might get better plus its really cold. :| OH I AM A FRESHMAN

  • 28 at fresh is good? then i don't have to worry cuz i hit like 30 with a 12 in 8th grade and i was stressing =[

  • i throw 32's andd im in eight

  • no1 cares go brag somewhere else fucktard

  • what size shotput?

  • at the back of the circle you may want to bunch yourself a little tighter, and keep the shot over the right foot and raise your hips a little more, my coach told me to do this, and the shot feels lighter then.

  • try tucking in your right leg a bit to the left a bit more, i know that it feels strange but it helped me trow two feet farther

  • I am 18,5, I throw 2kg discus about 53 m, I dont know how much that is in your parametars

  • if that's how far you throw, you are about 40 something feet farther than me. how long have u been throwing? and where are you from?

  • I am from Serbia and I threw shot put in Bydgoszcz and i got in final, but I didn`t threw discus, my coach sad so...

  • how old are you, and how much you throw and which weight

  • I turned 18 a few months ago. I barely started throwing in January 2008. I used to be a runner. My personal best in shot put was around 47 in high school with 12 lbs, and I threw discus around 120 with a high school 1.6k disc. I can now throw farther than that with a college 2k discus. I haven't worked on shot as much because I think I am going to focus on discus more in college. I imagine I could throw around 34-36 with a 16 lb shot put. I use a spin now instead of the glide.

  • Thanks. I corrected my form before the state meet, where I didn't yank my left arm in right at the start of the pop...left arm is supposed to stay out until you start to turn and deliver the shot. I currently spin to try to get ready for college...

  • good throw
