When I first heard this song and the whole album it was on, I'd just arrived for a a two-year assignment in Berlin, Germany when it was still very much a divided city. I remember thinking the song couldn't have been more appropriate for the place and time. I listened to this song and that album over and over the entire two years. "Fragile" became the theme by which I remember my time there. I believe it is the most beautiful song I've ever heard and am likely to ever hear.
