The first time I saw this trailer I was around nine, it scared the living HELL out of me, later when I was around 10 I looked it up, it scared me, but not very much because I lived in a house on lot in the middle of a city and I knew that if there were people like this creeping around my house someone would notice. Now I look it up and watch it, and yet again I am scared shitless, because I live in the country, where this could happen. I don't know why my mind works like this.

Definately the last good, modern, NEW horror movie i've seem. It's raw, highly suspenseful and it felt like it could be real. This was the last horror movie that made me feel how a horror movie is supposed to feel, terrified. Anybody who can't relate to something like this is totally a jaded prick.

Say what you want about this movie, but it's the only scary movie that has ever stuck with me. It's story exaggerates the simple fears we all have of being home alone and hearing noises or seeing a flash of something outside a window or door late at night. This movie didn't need special effects or made up movie monsters to be scary, it was just raw fear.

This wasn't actually BASED on true story, this was INSPIRED by a true story such as the Cabin 28, and the 2 couple in Austria that was killed by 3 teenagers. Also, this was inspired by the true story of the director wherein when he was young, a stranger knocked on his door, asking for somebody who wasn't living there. the next day the house nearby them was crashed down by strangers.

If they make a sequel, they should show more of the past of the masked family, and not just show another family getting killed by them. It should explain their reason for killing people, and at least give more insight to the whole story. Good film, very jumpy, but needed a more plausible ending imo.
