A poet and prophet of the ages.. One of the greatest singer- songwriters activists and one of the few people on earth who puts what little game and fortune he has to help others and raise awareness so that future generations might do the same.
Not only Browne a great singer-songwriter- but he's one of the few who practices what he preaches and puts what little fame and fortune he has behind his politics to help people and places in need. Some say he's a poet, others say he'a a prophet; but he's certainly no pretender!
I saw him play this song on VH1 Germany in 1996 or 1997 in the exact same way. First and last time I ever heard of Jackson Browne (I was 15 years back than). Loooved it! Forgot about and now rediscovered it! Great! Thanx!
When I watch this "rare" recording of His, it only goes to show why I went out and Purchased His Albums when I was a Kid in the '70s and later in the 80's -90's, and Today. He is my Favorite Solo Artist of ALL TIME, and if Ya can feel, and tap into what he does, you'll see why!
To me there is NOTHING better than JACKSON BROWNE and a ACOUSTIC GUITAR, singing about LIFE/LOVE, or HUMAN TRAGEDY....this performance is ABSOLUTELY COOL!
"I am laughing when I make it to the Saturday, and I am live." What a nice description of a typical daily life. Where was this performance held then? TFP.

That was a great age for him.. he aged so nicely too. I've always loved the melody of this song. It is just one of those tunes that make you happy.

Another brilliant song from one of the best songwriters to emerge from the 70s. This one is exceptional.
