For consumer projects, even the basic NeoHD (Which includes most of Neo3D) for 499.00 is expensive, but for people needing to create 3D content for work, it's basically the going price of any high end plug-in .
@dhelmly - If the edits are done with 1 side (the other via proxy) then rendered in Free Stereo 3D software the same results are achieved without spending any money on a plug-in. With a very good FREE workflow, why would the going rates be so high? I saw no price listing from Adobe for 499 - there is only a listing for 3599.00.

@AlanContino remember the 499.00 Price for NeoHD is from Cineform not Adobe. You can use a simple side by side workflow by using Video 1 and Video 2 tracks and scale the video in the Effects >Motion(swoosh it - turn off uniform Scale and use the Width setting - then use position to move to left or right eye. This works fine cameras where everything like sync matches. Cineform give more tools. Here's the link to their product page that shows NeoHD at 499.00 cineform.com/products.php
@dhelmly - it's still boggles my mind that NeoHD can sell for 499 when the same things can be done for free. Stereo 3D workflows have been around since mid 90s w/ shareware & freeware. It is so easy I would have thought most professional apps would have the controls already built into their standard products without the need for plugins
It might be a nice idea to include the link for the next video, in the Information box for this video! Or even at the end of the video so you can just click for the next tute.
Assuming you want people to view the tutorials sequentially ;)
how about the distance between the 2 D-SLR camera's like Canon 5D or Panasonic GH1. It is more or less 15 cm and it shout be about 65 mm. Does the software corrects this 'problem" and what are the results and restictions. Thanks !! toon
I have really enjoyed your video on this topic! Unfortunately, I am having problems with CS5 playing back in nVidia Page Flip. When I select this option in the CineForm Playback Settings window, it doesn't work. Any suggestions?
Big thanks to your videos, I just bought production suite 5 and was looking easy way to learn editing 3d and your videos really nailed it. I know what to buy next :)
What about a Premiere Pro workflow without the incredibly expensive Cineform plugin??? Are there cheaper or proxy methods available?

Nice job with the introduction. This is complex material and getting the basics down is important.
