The problem with showing the creatures at the Proms was that they aren't as scary in real life.

I was there, and the scariest ones were the vampires, because they don't need sound or CGI to make them scary. The Cybermen however, are soundless, no clunking feet or pistons hissing at all. But what the hell, it was still AWESOME!

Love this theme in all its incarnations, but it does sound best with a full orchestra. My two favorite versions are the one from 1980 and tennant's last version in 2008 with Matt smith's in at a close second. Even texans like the doctor!

@ironhidewatson I suppose not all animals in the kingdom have the same ratio of females to males, take ants and bees for example; there is a disproportionate amount of males to females. It may seem like a bit of a cop out but perhaps the disproportionate amount of females to males in the Silurian race obeys a similar natural design that is otherwise unspoken of in the show's script.
