  • I just wish people could be a little more careful with the selection of words when putting dowm their comments. Its just fine to disagree or have a different opinion about things but there is an appropriate way of saying it .We should be respectful to others .

  • when im on his plane i dont need to worry

  • i want to be like that hero he is the best but i want on united airlines

  • is suggesting that Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger be proclaimed the Man of the Millennium.

  • Wonderful!

  • BOOORING....

  • Run for President??

He'd be the first President to fly himself around in Air Force One!!

  • @Outlaw1257 No other president was a trained pilot then?

  • hahaha

  • sully i wasnt on the flight but i was doing math homwork when my dad told me- me, being a girl who loves flying, i bolted downstairs to see it on the computer. ironically at that moment, a US Airways A320 came and landed at our local airport. when i heard everyone survived, i was shocked in a good way. thank you for saving the lives of 154 other people, rather than being concerned about your won life. RICK ON SULLY!!!!!!!! :-D

  • I salute this man. When (IF) I get to be a pilot, this man will be my hero!

  • Visit my channel and see great vid of the Captain speaking in NYC today!

  • My applauses to the whole crew. Amen!

  • I should buy a patent for the Sullenberg movie now and sell it to Sony Pictures for a couple million next year.

  • This is a true act of heroism. It shows that when you keep your calm in turmoil, great results happen. This man deserves all of the recognition that he has gotten and then some. It is a true comfort to hear that something that could have been catastrophic turned out so great in these tough times. It shows that there is some meaning to life and those who influence us. Thanks Sully and God Bless you and your family.

  • As the incident commander (Pilot) he had to make a split second decision and he made the right one. Knowing that he had two dead engines and no thrust to make it to either airport he made a choice. If not for the hudson they would have crashed into land or structures. In the fire an ems service everyday people have to make decisions that save lives and most go unrecognized for it, Capt. Sulley we salute you as an American Hero.

  • C.B. "Sully" Sullenberger,

Was selected 1 of a dozen for cadet glider program, has run his own safety consulting business,Safety Reliability Methods Inc,served as an instructor, Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) safety chairman, accident investigator, and national technical committee member. His safety work for the ALPA led to the development of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular.

He declined 2 open runways for landing, he risked lives to try to land in Hudson.

    herao NO

  • He's not a hero!! Give credits to the other crew because they did a job too!! The co-pilot helped out sully too

  • (((((((You're a real hero.))))))) The pilot probably closed his eyes. Good comment... I meant '''''INTELLIGENT COMMENT'''''

  • ur a fucking tool

  • This guy CAN fly !!

  • uoftstudents ur so fuking stupid u foreign scum,he couldnt land at the airport cuz his plane was going down dumass which ment he had to make a emergency landing in the river and god bless you sully!!ur a true hero!!!

  • Don't you think the Captain would have preferred to land at an airport?? Obviously, with no power in the engines, his options were limited. If he doesn't make it to LGA or Teterboro, those people all die, and probably a lot on the ground, too.

  • hahahahaha

  • If you were on that aircraft, you wouldn't be talking shit about Sully. You'd be thanking him for saving your worthless ass. So shut the fuck up.

  • Sully for President 2012

  • Everyone talks about his piloting skills but what about his split-second decision making and executive decision making? We're not going to Tetterboro. We're not going back to LaGuardia. We're going right here, 42nd st and Hudson River. He made DECISIONS that were miraculous as well. The hand of God, just for a moment. Not a single life lost, amazing! Hero!

  • Cap. Sully the best pilot.

  • God Bless you.I am feeling so happy

  • q dirian de él si se hubiese estrellado en la calle...

  • Not a hero but a great well trained pilot. He took his risks rationally y no restrello en la calle

  • he is the reall hero

    you are the best buddy

people throught the world is proud of you

    thanks.

  • Top Gun Sir...You are the Man.God Bless you, and your courage should be admired by everyone.

  • Hero Sully

  • ty sully!!!!!

  • God was there , in his mind and in his hands.

    Thank you

  • yeahhh!!!!!!!

  • Without a doubt the hero of 09. may god bless him and his family always!! what an amazing human being!!! I love this guy!!!!

  • True Hero, God Bless!!!

  • i really dont think he´s a HERO, I agree he´s a very skillful pilot with thousands of flight hours but those things happen and every well instructed pilot must be able to follow the emergency procedures and execute them.

I think it´s simply instruction and skill but not heroism......

  • JavierWX a hero is someone who defy's the odd's and risk everything to save life. This man saved 155 lives, this man is a HERO through and through.

  • Bless you sir

  • But he saved his own ass too... Just kidding! He is truly a hero!!!

  • justclimb.. show a little respect you dumbass. he saved 155 lives that day.

  • There are rummour he switched off the wrong engine and wasen´t able to restart it...

If confimed..all this crap would be the laught of the world.

The only thing CONFIRMED by now it´s AIRBUS STRENGHT...

The rest is PURE SPECULATION...Pilots are paid to follow their manual..something they are used to get over it and crash.

  • the only thing CONFIRMED is that you can't spell for shit man.

A good example of pure speculation would be if someone seemed to think that I didn't actually bone your mom. That's obviously just speculation because it's their opinion, & obviously we all actually know that it's true.

    show daddy some respect!

  • youre an asshole you stupid cunt

  • O cara salva mais de 150 vidas humanas e alguns arrombados se preocupam com pássaros, se fosse algum familiar deles que estivessem lá, eles sentiriam na pele. é minha gente pimenta no dos outros é refresco

  • fuck you all that say hes a bird murderer he saved 155 people and his crew and you are worried about the birds whoever thinks that can go to hell. Jerks!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i would love to here either an interview or the cokpit audio of sullenberger

  • Sully is a hero, but spare us the national anthem, that's corny.

  • BIRD KILLING MURDERER!!!!!!!!!!

  • ONORE E GLORIA !!!

  • Your a real DUMBASS!!!!!

  • As one US Airways flight 1549 survivor put it, "God was certainly looking out for all of us."

There you have it folks. If you survived a near fatal plane crash, it wasn't because a highly trained and experienced professional crew exemplified ingenuity, composure, and skill to save your ass, it's because God in fact loves you more than others.

  • Wow He landed the plane & evacuated it single handed? Hello!! When is somebody gonna mention the rest of the crew? Oh yeah I forgot..Flight attendants are just there to pass out the peanuts!!

  • Wow he really is a hero!

Why is it only the weirdest things happen in America?

What a lucky bunch of people!

  • I work for a airline in the neighboring airport at Newark New Jersy.

  • He looks german and has a german name like most socalled hebrewic "dark semitic" jews.

  • He brought down that plane so smoothly. Can I request him for every flight I take? Seriously, it's marvellous to have news of a hero in all the doom and gloom we've been living under lately. Well done to captain and co-pilot.

  • hero! well done

  • What is the truth?

    Google this:

Assassination By Plane Crash Of Top American Bankers Fails In US

  • I think it is a proper bulshit:), the net guys are just trying to make some money:), there is NO SINGLE Russian news site or paper that talks about it, just some cheap websites:)

  • No shit!!!!!!That's the same thing I was thinking. Now their media makes him a hero cause they missed.I'm just saying:-)))

  • He made the best decision for those on his flight as well as those on land who could have been killed had he tried to land at one of the airports...unsuccessfully. Everwhere underneath them was filled with population...except for the river. It just had a few bridges and stuff in the way.

  • Hero? It was luck. God bless it..

  • luck my ass... thats what experience can do for you and being calm under pressure can do for you. You would probably just shit your pants

  • Well done Chesley are you sure that is your name and not Clark Kent

  • jajaja !!!

  • OUTSTANDING!!

    God bless you Mr.Sullenberger

  • Ummm..if i was that pilot that just landed a plane on water and i'v been a pilot for a while now like him... I'd retire i wouldn't take anymore chances i'd just sit back n relax and collect retirment/. thats what he proabably do watch lol..

  • Superman is alive.

  • Americans love to celebrate. Not so fast. He's not done flying.

  • God bless the polite and his family. But,it ain't like he's done so stop all the celebrating. He's a polite,he'll be right back up there again so just enjoy him as much as you can while you still got him.Cause you never know.

  • And who was the first officer?

  • That's exactly what i was going to ask,

    or rather i would write:

"Thanks not only to the Capt., but ofcourse also to the co-pilot,because alone would has been much more dificult...

  • Never mind Obama - surely the guy we need to take over thecontrols in the White House right now is Chesley B. Sullenberger III.

Obama may think he can walk on water - but Sully can go a whole lot better than that!

He can actually land a plane on it.

...and if he save all those lives - he can probably save the USA too . Let's ditch Obama and go for President Sully!!

  • How is landing a plane on water better than walking on it..

    =/

  • cause you can't walk on water.

  • After what Cap. Sullisberger accomplished, who can ever truly call a ballplayer, an actor, a singer or--God-help-us--a politician a hero?

  • he is wonderfull human being.....

  • Wonderful human beings don't kill birds! The airline industry all over the world should be ashamed of themselves. The birds did nothing wrong. The worst animal on this planet is the human being!

  • You have got to be kidding me. Do you get out much? Do you realize that there are approximately 7000 birds sucked into one or more engines of a jet every year? It's an act of nature. Sure, it sucks for the birds but do you think the pilots were actually aiming to hit them? This pilot, the co-pilot, the flight attendants and everyone that was involved in the rescue efforts are all heroes. They all put their lives on the line. The crew puts its life on the line every single flight they take.

  • Cheslay Sullenberger is A True Hero. Lets here it for him.

    HIP HIP HURRAY!!!

    HIP HIP HURRAY!!!

    HIP HIP HURRAY!!!

  • BIRD KILLER!

  • he not only brought the plane down safely,he had about 30 seconds to decide the best course of action. he was 100% correct in all of his actions both mentally and physically.he didn't leave until he was sure no one else was left on the plane.he deserves a thank you from all of us for his humanity.thank god for placing this heroic pilot on this plane.a man who handled the situation with perfection saving over 150 human lives.

  • i think if the pilot had landed on land there wouldnt have been any survivors...and landing on water is even more scary in the first place but thats a great idea...i think he is a real hero because the passengers were not even hurt even if they were a majority of them came out unhurt so he did a very good job...its a very rare sight to see passengers come out of a plane unhurt...

  • Sullenberger ftw

  • ALL HAIL THE TRUE KING!!!

He won't be able to publicly speak until the NTSB and FAA investigations are complete.

ALL HAIL THE TRUE KING !!!

  • Any TV interviews yet?

  • Amazing JOB!

  • Im from Australia

    I got the breaking news

Glad to know all the people suvived

    GREAT HERO. Worth his wings

  • "Salute"

  • a video about this pilot starts a conversation about iraq.. i swear to god if i was US president i would just blow all that area and get it over with wasting so much fkin money on these monkeys (sorry to the kids but man..)

  • Good work, Sully!

  • ALERT! YT USER jizznmypants2 STOLE THIS VIDEO & IS USING IT TO PEDDLE THE BOOTLEG PROGRAMS HE'S SELLING O EBAY!!!

The asshole has 3 YT names, & uses all 3 to spam!

  • It all depends on how you look at it. For instance PETA doesnt think he is a Hero.

  • Bird strike huh? Well those birds shouldn't be allowed to have unions then.

  • can u stop birds from flying? It's their nature

  • What does this have anything to do with Gaza? There are thousands of birds dying each day from airplanes and all you can think about is Gaza? What's this world coming to?

    Salute to the Pilot

  • BIRD KILLING MURDERER!!!!!!!!!!

  • I totally agree! There are so many of these planes killing these poor helpless birds! God will get revenge on those who think Chesley B. Sullenburger III is a hero!

  • Your a disgrace to the human race. That pilot is responsible for everybody on that flight because he flew that approach to the water landing perfectly. It isn't his fault the damn birds got sucked up the intakes.

  • Something tells me you won't think about that next time you get an on airplane for vacation.

  • Why you all called him Hero? He is a skillfully pilot but not a Hero.

  • he is a hero for the people who were on that plane, maybe u don't see him as a hero bc u were not on that plane, bc if u were u were going to kiss the pilot's feet and thank him !!

  • Last time I checked there are 2 pilots up front. And at USAir because of furloughs, they were both Captains, just one more senior than the other. Great job to the entire crew for getting it down in one piece, and great job for cabin crew keeping the pax from opening the rear doors and sinking the plane before everyone could get out.

  • Isn't this bit exaggerated?

  • Yea, a true hero.

    Deserves a metal.

  • He is a bird murderer!

  • "more easier" huh? And from the looks of things you have had several water landings...

  • What a man! God Bless Captain Sullenberger-

  • This guy is from my Hometown in Texas..

  • Dude please come work for Air Canada! they are a complete disgrace, but "FIST BUMP" Captain you will be Time Mag person of the year for 2009 Pilot of the year!

  • What I wrote below was intended for the tool, wunderpaule!

  • Congratulations Commandant Chesley Sullenberger, for saving all 155 lives ! This brave, heroic and remarkable feat will be remembered forever in the history ! God bless you and all the rescuers for this great miracle !

  • Calling this a 'miracle' is like saying, "Your a good pilot, but there is no way you could have saved those people without divine intervention". The pilots and crew deserve 100% of the credit, not to be shared with your deity. Other than that, good comment.

  • Give thanks to the Lord,

    for HE is good;

    his love endures forever.

    Who can proclaim

the mighty acts of the Lord

    or fully declare his praise?

    (Psalm 106, 1-2)

  • economy crash...USA needs luck and skill...and concentrated power of will....or whatever.......brace yourselves for the impact. Is there a "hero" out there? Flight USA 0000 floating in Hudson next? Who will gonna rescue the "unemployed" passengers? The "bailout" boats. Excellent job for Sullenberger.

  • You are such a hero in all our eyes!! What an awesome job you did and the crew to get everyone off safely!! Your Angels were with you all. Peace/Love

  • bravo sully

  • Hey waunderplaune are you some kind of IDIOT> Learn how to spell for one thing, and the plane cannot fly itself. The man was awlsome, so get agrip on realty!!!!!

  • Oh god. Stop kissing his ass. If he wasn't LUCKLY over the Hudson, all those people and more would be dead.

  • silly boy.

but they were over the hudson and if it were any other pilot they could be all dead. thats why they make a big deal about him.

  • How do you know? Hitting water is like hitting land at high speeds!

  • Jump out of an airplane into water and see if you live. Im sure to sudden stop will break your neck.

  • Good job!

  • He indeed was trained and expected to do what he did BUT his control over his emotions itself PROVED that is a skill of a HERO!

  • 90% luck 10% skill

  • Great job! Hero?- did what in was train to do. Just like Firefighters or Police Officers.

I just hope his hometown doesn't do a "Sully day". It would cheapen it.

Go home, enjoy your family and friends and "lay low".

  • It was not the pilot, it was the plane and the ingeneers who constructed a plane that can float in the air without engines, that has a stable construction able to do emergency landings on water without breaking into pieces. And, last not least, the construction of the plane allows the plane to swim on the water. Boeings and most of the planes constructed in the US would have crashed. Sullenberger did only what he had learned.

Arland D. Williams jr. was a heroe.

The heroe here is the plane.

  • You out of your mind? First of all, where did you learn to spell?! Second, the pilot had complete control of the aircraft, and without his experience, knowledge and a little bit of luck on his side, the wreck would of been much worse. The plane had 1 engine functioning, that is why it stayed in the air! It just didn't float in the air!!!! The plane swam on the water???? Where do planes go for swimming lessons? Give credit when credit is do!!

  • I give credit to real heroes. For every nurse who risks her life in Gaza to save children from the bombs, to every doctor who is ready to help in Iraq and Afghanistan the US-murderers have devastated in the last years. On my search in Youtube I couldn't find one video from a US-citizen that gives credits to the victims of the crimes the US-soldiers comitted in the last years.

By the way: My English is certainly better than your French, Italian or German. Learn before you insult me next time.

  • who cares about gaza and iraq and shit, the US should just drop a nuke on the whole fucking area, stop all the fighting for good, then maybe the world will be at peace...we could always use an extra large parking lot out there anyway

  • wunderpaule you are an idiot, for making that comment....i hope the US and israel continue to bomb you...retard

  • ...and maybe you can ride a bike, Dummschwätzer

  • Thank you. There should be an Olympic Gold medal for heroism.

  • TRUE HERO

  • Sir,you are a true Hero, along with your co-pilot and flight crew.I also wish to Congratulate all the Rescue teams involved..God Bless You All!!!

  • nice hero

    greeting from turkey

  • hero

  • ...HERE HERE!!!!...

  • Great job Captain!

  • male pilot > female pilot

  • Good job, Sully!

    Who is the copilot?!

  • This motherfucker could safely land a cardboard box tied to a broomstick!

    Nice job Captain!

  • What about the First Officer (commnly named "copilot")? It´s two up front, not just one!

Tribute goes to BOTH of them!

  • you're so right... sullenberger did not bring down the plane ALL alone... and he did not do the whole evacuation all alone... people should pay credits to ALL of the crew and not focus one ONE single person! but unfortunately that's how it goes today. people want one hero to adore, no matter if other people deserve to be mentioned as well. i dont like that thinking =(

  • this man is a true hero yes others helped to and hats off to them as well but if it hadnt been for this mans superb controlled landing 155 would be dead possibly more if the plane had flown into buildings

  • Hail to Sully,a real hero.Hail to many other heroes once the plane was down. A true hero he his. To stay behind and make sure all were off of the plane. He deserves as many accolades as we can give.

  • To all you non-US or anti-US jealous little boys and girls - Kiss our US butts. Anyone that dosen't praise what Capt. Sullenburger did is a jealous little coward hiding behind his/her words. What is wrong with you people!

  • This guy is such a lifesaver! If he didn't land into the river, or if he landed into the ocean, there would be 155 people dead. I'm glad that Chesley and his crew all helped out in this. They are all true lifesavers and will be known for a very long time! God bless them all!

  • He did his job well that is hero enough

  • I am wondering what the comments would be had you been a passenger on flight 1549? Kudos to the pilot and his crew and to everyone who helped in the rescue. You see, there are good things that do come out of the people of NYC. Awesome JOB!

  • It's about time someone recognizes the crew and the rescuers other than this guy... seriously EVERYONE seems to have forgotten that this guy didn't do this all by himself... THERE IS A CO-PILOT ALSO!

  • Hi dickhead, he walk back into the plane twice and checked row for row to make sure no one was left behind. It's people like you that provoke people like bush. Can't wait till we launch a preemptive strike againest your country, fuck off.

  • haha you just proved my point. bush is simply a spokesperson for your countries mentality on a whole, you want to strike my country? is that the best u yankees can come up with? destroying the lives of others to benifit yours? the rest of the world hates america does that not tell you something! you still a proud american or just ignorant??

  • lozer1stinkfist. your fist smells like fish lozer

  • You sir are so deserving of your most approprate name, "1stinkfist." Do you have planes in your country or are you just jealous of the excellent skill and training of Captain Sullenberger. I think if you would relax just a bit and stay out of the medicine cabinet you might just be able to enjoy the fact that so many people owe this captain a tremendous debt of gratitude.

  • You Sir owe all the Iraquis and Afghans who didn't kill US-soliers an infinite dept of gratitude!!! Wake up! As soon as one US-citizen does something outstanding he is a hero? I am sorry to say...this kind of nationalism I despise with all my heart.

  • who DIDNT kill soldiers? soooo those road bombs that killed the hundreds of them so far just spawned on their own i guess...

  • When it comes down to saving peoples lives.

He's a hero in my book.

    "Deeds Not Words"

  • Hero!!! Purdue graduate. Go Boilers.

  • i couldn't believe what i was seeing on tv yesterday. before the people were taken out of the plane, my heart was breaking for those people. but god was on those peoples side to have such as wonderful , and skillful pilot at the wheel when this horrible incident happended. it is miracle combined with the skills this pilot and his crew displayed during this terrifying moment.

  • new election sullenberger for president move over obama

  • retard

  • Felicitaciones a los miembros de la Tripulacion en especial Al Capitan por salvar a 155 personas. Y Sobre todo dar GRACIAS A DIOS por Estar vivos.

  • If your ass was on that plane and your ass was still alive you'd call him a HERO. Lets see some of you do that!!
