Just concerned with your mental well being dude. You are way too worked up on a cartoon. And I am making a comment on your vid because I friggin can. Have a happy.
Put down the Twinkies and Diet Cokes. Way too much sugar and caffine guy. If you could channel that rage into something important like "real life" you might do something good for the world. IT'S A FRIGGIN CARTOON! I GREW UP WITH ASTROBOY AND I AM NOT OFFENDED BY SOMEONE ELSE'S INTERPERTATION. Anime is not a religion. Get a life dude.
@cutterbloodof11 ... ok, even though i have life with paying bills and rent and not to mention car payments, i suddenly don't have one cause i make a vid about my dislike to a shitty movie that had so many things wrong with it.
i mean who the hell am i for doing this right? why bother even bitching about a damn cartoon right?
well sir its because i fucking can. and if it seems if i don't have a life, oh well
same could be said to you for commenting on the vid =)
I'm a Tezuka fan myself - I've read a lot of the Atom manga, and seen some eps of the 1960's TV series (and talk about your limited animation..whoa!!!) and I was VERY pleased by this 21st century update of Astro Boy. "Americanized"? Tezuka WANTED his character to be Americanized - he borrowed heavily from Walt Disney and George McManus (a popular American cartoonist of that day). The Astro Boy movie was one of the best films of this year. I loved it!
You know, there was a time for everything. When Tezuka was making his thing, it was his time. And the fans of his work alive then, were able to enjoy his work.
Some old farts need to understand somethin'. That they had their time under the sun. But that time is GONE. Now is time for them to find some shade and quit the bitchin'.
Besides, we all know where Tezuka art style got inspired from: Disney (big eyes and stuff). So better quit complaining about "americanizing" this and that.
You are absolutely right. And I didn't see Japan try to make a new Astro Boy movie. The character would still be languishing in obscurity if it weren't for the efforts of those bad ol' Americans...
if they ever decided to make a CGI looney tunes movie! I'm going to war against these CGI whores. I don't give a shit about CGI movies because their all the same and ruined American animation!
you know what ruins series....the old school fans do to be honest. If the old school fans had it their way the gamse and movies we had now would de evolve 15 years.
Nothing is wrong with it. To you and I, but to people in this day and age they will be like wtf. Games, movies, cartoons have to evolve, except for megaman for some reaon.
yea theres nothing wrong with megaman and same goes for the art stlye on astroboy. now yea i get what your saying like technology changes and stuff but in this case were talking about art style and they should have not messed with it
Yes, it is hard to please the fans, because people like you bitch about thing that don't matter. Seriously dude. Chill out. That still looks like Astro Boy to me... just in 3-D. What, you wanted bigger eyes or something?
if it was in the tezuka art style i wound bitch about it at all and wouldnt care if it was cg even though i would have prefered it being hand drawn =)
I guess I just don't understand what you mean by the art style. It's 3-D. When you translate things from 2-D into 3-D they've got to make some changes to make it work (take Mickey Mouse's ears for example). Not to mention the fact this is an American movie being shown to people who don't really like Anime. When you please the fans 100% you alienate anyone else who wants to get into it.
It still looks like Astro Boy to me and I think they're still staying true to the source material.
ahhh you gotta love americanization lol. hey man i just belive that it should have stuck with the tezuka art style and besides his art style sort of resembles the old school popeye and betty boot look so its not really that different
The film was eh but what in gods good grace are you choking on? See a doctor. Or think before you start a sentence.
