If you fly in crazy wild air you can wad the glider up. That's why you buy from a reputable company like this one who tests their gear to ensure maximum safety before they sell it to you.

Can happen due to several reasons. I don't know the correct english terms but it can happen due to lift/air. Also possible is a too low speed (so stall just like airplanes). A pilot could also pull his brakes/tokkles below his wrest what will cause a collapse.

Funny you should mention Seal's "Crazy". This was played non stop at the 1992 paragliding pre world cup and 1993 world championships in Verbier, Switzerland in the days of Robbie Whittle,Uli Weismeier, Han Strobel et al. Great days - happy memories!

If you want to learn paragliding or paramotoring I suggest Flyingman in Beijing or Birdmen in Cape Town

eh? dude, this is a flight test, all modern gliders go through it. The guy knows exactly what he's doing. The collapses were deliberatley induced and predicted. You shold go watch them over the lake at Annecy if you want to see the real fun :)

yes delibertly induced, i want a wing like that. Nothing worse when your wing colapses and you start spinning and loosing heigt very quickly.... very hard to recover might as well take a shit in ur pants.

With wing seems to be easy to recover almost does it by itself.
