Burning of oil is a misconception omp sucks oil from the oil pan making u loose oil per miles..but The omps are used to keep the metal sleves witch are between the housings they will over heat due to friction from rotors if not lubed eather with omp or premix i had no choice but to premix due to my smog pump breaking loose causing the omp lines to be cut

@aldrairule Thats mainly because rotaries are generally only thrown into lightweight cars. This car could do the same with a v8, but its a REAL import and he kept it rotary!

these engines are great for both man, lite weight, and extremly powerful for rhere size. they make good road racers and drag racers simply for the engines power to weight ratio. these couldnt of picked a better car for the engine either.

you right man power to weight in lemans the mazda 787b was kciked out after due to an unfair weight adventage lol , but u can think of rotary motors as being like a two stroke , they are compact , light weight , and produces alot of power for the size

They are supposed to burn oil. They inject a little oil in to help build compression. So if you're trying to insult rotary, you're doing horrible at it.

I know they do and I'm not insulting rotaries because they do incredible things. But the longest lasting rotary I ever saw had premix run in it since it was new, and that's why I said and they burn oil,
