  • lol can get 80 fps with 5770 ati with 250 gtx no mod used just use lastest updata

  • just get the fucking gtx 480

  • how the fuck have you get the physx working. My 2xhd5970 crash for got sake when i try to use the physx The gtx480 will not work with hd5970 : / damn it need to wait for the mod fixs. I think

  • @Xextreem google for the beta drivers that they forgot to include the disable code in.

version 257.15 beta I think? Not exactly sure since I am on another machine right now - I'll post later when my rig is running later tonight.

  • @Xextreem Thats sucks, I have a 5970, anyways not enough cool games support it to feel hurt. Physx went down hill since Nvidia bought it. It should have been something big by now.

  • @Xextreem you have to use two of the exact same card for sli/crossfire

HD Radeon cards don't have physx Nvidia ones do

  • Hybrid physX mod 1.04 FTW!!!

  • @IvOOO95 I switched to the beta drivers without the check for ati cards

  • @ethr95awd

Yes i know, lol Nvidia now really fu**** up with 257.15 drivers....i will get a Nvidia card this (next) month and will try out some physx games...

Now, i have a HD 4850 and i am thinking of getting a GTX 9800, does it improve performance in non physx games or is it just to enable Physx ? Cause it would be a little stupid to get a Nvidia card just for physx if i can get another 4850 for crossfire.

  • @IvOOO95 Its only good for games that have hardware accelerated physx like batman, darkest days, and metro 2033. check out phyxinfo com for a list of games

  • @ethr95awd

So no performance boost in non physx games with ATI+Nvidia?

The FAQ at physxinfo doesn't tell me much about it...

  • When i enable my nvidia monitor to get physx it disabled eyefinity =/

  • @TonkatrainHONKHONK nvm i solved my issue

  • cant see the reasion why you say that u wouldnt use Vsync to get those fps, any reason to even have Vsync on if u dont have Screen Tearing problems ? thats kinda why u want Vsync if u have problem with tearing other than that its just really not important to have on

  • @n0ex the way i understand vsync is that unless you are running your game 60fps all the time it should be turned off

  • I imagine people have said this already, but get screens that are the same size, it ruins the effect so much!

I'm using a 19 and 17 so I know from first hand experience ha ha

  • hey.. 5870 + 9800 or 250 gts??

What the best ? 9800 gt or 250 gts for Physx?

  • @bhzd they are pretty much the same card - check out toms hardware for more physx benchies

  • @ethr95awd Ah, but i have Evga 9800 GTX+ :P sure is the best card for physx, no?

  • Wow. so bad fps Something must be wrong with your driver etc..:/ .. I have 80+ average when Maxed out, Physx enabled, 4xAA and 1080p.

    My specs:

    GTX 275x2 in SLI

    Q9650 on 4.50 Ghz

8 Gb ram on 1066 mhz

    780-i FTW edition mobo

  • @stovnergutt i am running at 4800x1200 on three screens what res are you running at?

    thought so...

  • That's not impressive..

Considering that this guy does not use AA, i could easily achieve the same or even more fps with three screens.

  • @stovnergutt go for it - post your video - the game plays flawlessly with my rig

  • You have one 5870 lmao. Then it won't be a prob at all..

  • @stovnergutt You do realize that a 5870 is just a slower than a 295 by like 5% and thats only in some games, in most its the same speed or faster

  • Yes i do. But 295 is previous gen now lol..

  • Isn't a GTS250 kind of overkill as a PPU?

  • Well its just a 9800gtx+ with a different name. You can check out toms hardware they have a run down of physx performance using batman - great article.

  • @ethr95awd can you have the gts 250 with a ati card running on a tv full hd ? without eyefinity----

  • yup

  • @ethr95awd thanks for the response but i think im gonna wait untill fermi 100 comes out ;D

  • Wich program are you using to run the benchmark? or si an option of the 1.1 patch? I Have a 5870 and a core i7 860 and the engine it's limited to 62 FPS but its 1.0 version cause i dont need physx.

  • You need the full game to run the benchmark. I bought mine off steam and it updated itself with any patches.

  • I thought the latest Nvidia drivers stopped Nvidia GPU's functioning when ever an ATI card is present.

Like I have a 4890, and if I put ann 8800 in there too as a PhysX processor it just fails to do anything.

    Any advice is appreciated

  • check out my set up discussion video and check the link in the description

  • You need to use a hack, a simple google search will do it.

  • At least a GTS250! i tried a Ge force 210 and no physx option, then a 8800GS Alpha dog and damn without physx i get 120FPS minimum, with physx on i get 11FPS Minimum with the 8800, plus less than 10 games with phys out there and most suck.

  • Would a GT 210 or 240 work? What sort of level card do we need it it's only being used for physx? I can find 210's for like $20.

  • I think they work - i would check nvidias site to make sure

  • can't i enable physx in a ati card for example hd 5770,is it necessary to have a nvidia card?

  • physx hardware acceleration will only work with a nvidia card

  • but the 5XXX series supports physx? aand i saw same benchmarks of batman arkham asylum on a hd 5770 with physx but it tooked a lot of performence because it doesn't have as good physx engine as nvidia

  • no ATI card supports PhysX - PhysX is owned by nvidia.

  • i hope sum one will shows step by step how to install physx with ati card.

  • check out my latest video

  • ahhh kk , sry , forget that :P and 3 screens :) my bad sorry mate

  • No problem

  • my 9800gt 512mb ram and crappy MB does AVG 70 MAX 120 LOWEST 29. i cant see why youre 5870 does lower then mine??

  • well i am running at a 4800x1200 resolution

  • wow. this game re-brings the awesomeness of Physx

  • word

  • Does the performance of the card you'll use as dedicated physx card count for much? Like if I would use a 9800GT vs a GTS 250 or something like that. Well those cards are pretty much the same, but I bet you catch my drift. ;)

  • check out toms hardware - they have a huge performance article on physx using batman AA

  • if you install nvidia driver on hd 5870 + gts 250... how about the ati driver? pls.., give me the instruction step by step..

  • check out my latest video for more help

  • why is batmans head cut off?

  • fov and vert -

search the wide screen gaming forums for mroe

  • hey whats up?? i was wondering what kind of motherboard i would need to use ati card and nvidia for physx!! can it work on crosshairs III

  • i dont see why not.

  • Would you recommend the U2410 for a gaming monitor? I'm thinking of either this or the HP2475w...

  • they both use s-ips panels - i say its a wash and buy the cheaper one

  • no estaria mal que crysis usara physx

  • Have you run crysis yet? I would love to know the fps at 4800x1200 since that is the res i will be running soon.

  • world graphics peace!

  • How do you mange to install the drivers for the 250 which drivers version are you using ? I might try this I have a 5970 might get the GTS 250 for the PhysX and Eyefinity Looks great

  • Check out the link in the description. I downloaded the latest drivers off nvidia's site. 19x something. if you really need to know the exact version i can send you the file name i used later tonight.

  • Yea thank I try the latest drivers

  • my older AGEIA PhysX card should work with ATI 3850 vga card?

  • I really don't know. Check out the links in my post located in the description of this video.

  • But why use a GTS 250. The PhysX card definitely doesn't have to be that powerful.

  • a gts 250 is basically a 9800 gtx+ - i went with it mostly for heatsink venting - and the 250 will give me plenty of headroom if physx finally takes off

  • i didnt think could have two diffrent types of graphics cards running at the same time never mind an ati and nvidia what the? u must be the master

  • Ill post a video of the recipe soon. Its not that hard.

  • That is how I am eventually going to do to my 8800gtx and both my 9800gt 1gb cards once I go ati.

  • good luck!

  • you can still use PhysiX on ati cards? didn't Nvidia take out Physix with ATi?

  • Yes they did, hence the hacked nvidia driver

  • Dude, that IS a lot of pixellations! Looks like an awesome setup. Big time jealous bro. Dang, now I need to keep up with the Jones's

  • Its so awesome. I don't get much time to play games but when I do its got to blow me away and this is doing just that.

  • I updated it...

  • awesome - got a case in mind for it?

  • Impressive!

    thats all i can say!

    Wish i had money for a HD5870 and 3 monitors D:

    Cheers mate

    grea video!

  • Thanks!

  • Man awesome setup! I wait for another videos from You! great great fuckng great video

    5*!!!

  • Thanks. I've got about 4-5 vids queued up that I need to do a little editing on before I post.

  • So did you get a display port monitor or did you get a active adapter?

    I want this lol

  • Dell U2410 monitor has built in display port

  • @ethr95awd

    Nice.

  • cool shit man

  • Thanks!
