Fincher is great, Craig and Mara too, but this was the most unecessary remake ever. Even tough it is a good film, there was NOTHING wrong with the original films. Noomi Rapace's version was just fine. I don't get why the American version ever happened, but okay.

To be honest, Rooney Mara is a just another Hollywood dumb hype who can't act. Fans wake the fuck up, read the book and watch the Swedish version, yeah, the production value is not comparable to the Hollywood version, but Noomi Rapace is way more convincing than Rooney Mara. Don't deny it.

i really like this movie... something really real in it. When something terrible happens to you, you are usually alone, nobody will help you, you can pray, or you can ask for a charm prince, but the reality you are alone.....then you have the choice, to let it happen or do something. I really like the character of Lisbeth, it is a girl that do not need help. The first real time i saw a girl character that is completely independent and who does not need to be saved.

The movie is good, but the swedish version doesn't need to hide. They're different and so are the two versions of Lisbeth. Even though i think Mara does a pretty good job, i think Rapace fits the role better. I guess noone else can look so dangerous and full of hate but on the other side so vulnerable at the same time. Rooney plays her pretty good, but Noomi IS Lisbeth Salander.

I've seen this film yesterday, Lisbeth is my faorite character which is complex and complicated. The make up can really transform a beautiful girl into a rebel and dark women.0_0 I think they made it great. @reuscmar It's not a REMAKE because Finchers film is based upon the same book as the swedish film. It's not based on the film, but the book. You can call it a retake or re-adaptation. They probably didn't even have to watch the original to make this. Kenneth Branagh is great - that's his job; being great - but side-by-side YouTube comparisons of scenes make the Branagh version look lighter and the gorgeous photography makes it prettier than the original.
