Si sa benissimo come Desderi ha fatto la carriera di cantante e che da un pò di anni dire ora! ma se oggi un cantante giovane dovese cantare cosi non arriva da nessuna parte almeno che non abbia gli stessi inciucci di Desderi. E comunque bravo professionista su questo non ci piove!

This is one of the most difficult arias in opera; its especially difficult for the basses because there are too many high notes and fast tempo at the same time. Claudio Desderi is the best singer of this aria I have found in youtube. 5 stars ofcourse!!

The reason for that is that most conductors, offered the chance to work with a singer this good in this opera, will very wisely cast him as Figaro. Bartolo does not need to sound this good, because he's the bad guy; Figaro does, because he has to sing coloratura out the wazoo, which the Figaro in this production muddied up left and right. Sigh. . .
