i dont think you necessarily have to be jamaican to understand the song, to relate to it, and to feel it.
but i see where you're coming from, i dont think empathy is strong enough to feel towards it, but i think the song is sending out a message on a broader spectrum, maybe inspired by jamaica initally, but theres a strong morality about it.
