  • It's surrealist Nader is over Bob Barr in opinion polls. Four years ago, when it lost Kerry all we said "What happen here". Ralph Nader isn't a real option.

  • This bailout is of Fannie Mae is burdening the Taxpayer with another Trillion dollars in debt. Socializing the losses (taxpayers pay for it) and privatizing the gains (the investors - rich connected buddies of congressmen - are being given a blank check from the taxpayers)! People accuse Mr. Barr of being a spoiler in this election. He is bringing up many important issues into the debate that the other candidates are simply ignoring. I hope he is allowed to be in the debates this fall.

  • 301 billion dollar budget BLAH! Neither Mccain or Obama has talked about this once

  • He totally owned that ho.

  • It's amazing how many people hate either Obama or McCain so much that they are afraid to vote for a third party because the guy they hate may win. To solve this problem find someone that is voting for the guy you hate and make an agreement with him that the both of you will vote for a third party candidate.

  • Bob Barr is responsible to the taxpayers and the best choice for president.

  • ...A vastly more intelligent Reagan. At least he can talk specifics. I'm waiting to hear him talk about jury rights, and how it's impossible for a government that defends individual (jury)rights to be a tyranny (just like Ayn Rand did) ...before I donate (more).

Let's help Barr downsize DC. If we don't vote for him, we'll never know. He has all the right answers...

  • He's polling at 6% on the Zogby poll but his poll number will go up in the next couple of weeks!

  • let's not argue over him, or what he's done. Simple, if you like him, vote for him, if you don't, don't. Anyways, if you are gonna vote for him, then I suggest you donate some money, he only has $486,530.87, what a bitch, of course he has a chance, he's running!

  • I'll vote Barr despite him not having a solid Libertarian background because I still feel that what he's saying is the right thing. No more big government.

  • Glenn Beck and Billy Cunningham, two popular conservative radio show host, have endorse Bob Barr because he's the only true conservatives that running in this election.

  • He may not have always been right, but he's right now.

    Bob Barr 08!

  • Well said.

  • If Barr pulls 3% he will be lucky..he's too quirky

  • I don't think it's being too quirky, I think it's being too smart for most of the politicians in the two party system and too smart for a fair share of people casting their vote.

  • im glad to see hes against those bailouts, that's pretty impressive that he can go out there without really compromising on any of these issues and still be getting 10% or whatever it is in states like NH. It makes you wonder why any conservatives would waste their vote on McCain. Even if he does get elected (which he won't) he won't be doing anything to cut spending.

  • He's publicly turned against his past votes and admitted he was wrong and is actively working to change the effects of his mistakes on those issues. He seems to be truly libertairan now. I can respect that. Plus, he inserted sunset provisions into the Patriot Act, meaning it will expire if Congress doesn't abdicate their constitutional duty by voting to make it permanent. I'm not justifying his past record, which is indefensible, but I am in support of his current positions.

  • I'll stay home as soon as you can intelligently deliver an opinion without profanity, calling names, generalizing all Ron Paul supporters' behavior, or utilizing red herring tactics. Like I said, I am not defending his indefensible past record in any way. At first I didn't trust him, but he seems to be sincere now. The sunset provision will cause the Patriot Act to expire only if Congress votes not to make it permanent. Who do you support? Can you defend their economic/social ideology?

  • Tarzan, I admire your ability to debate at a higher level than your opponent and continue to argue with him in a reasonable manner despite his lack of said manner.

On the other hand, time spent replying to people like truthout911 is really just time wasted.

  • lol

  • I'm happy not to have heard the word 'spoiler' in this interview; about time we avoid that.

  • "This caused by government intervention, not the free market."

That about sums it up, doesn't it?

    Vote Bob Barr!!!

  • Sums up 99% of the problems in the world.

  • Have some patience, this isn't going to start until mid September.

  • Not bad. I wish they spent more time talking about the economy, and I wish Barr would give the FED more of the bad credit it deserves (pun intended).

  • my entire family left the gop this year - and split between registering libertarian and independant.

  • There are many conservatives that are slowly leaving the Republican Party and moving into the Libertarian Party!

  • I'm another one!

  • In my home city of Springfield MO. there are more Bob Barr sign than the two candidates! Many Conservatives think that McCain destroy the Republican Party if he's elected and because of it many of them are switching over to either Libertarian and Constitutional Parties this election.

  • me too!

  • Me too, and I was a delegate at the Texas State Convention. No way will I vote for McCain.

  • I only joined the gop to vote for Ron Paul!(Pennsylvania has a closed primary) I don't know enough about Barr yet to support him. But I'll be damned if I vote for McCain OR Obama!

  • you should definitely research Barr further

  • I love how they all ask him the same questions over and over.
