  • hey first of all great job. second, i do own this laptop and I have had a problem with windows media player. any time that i am watching a video and i move my computer even slightly then the video will skip or stop completely and jump to a few seconds ahead in the video. I was wondering if you have had to deal with anything similar or had any suggestions for me. Thanks!

  • @1236547899874563211 That's due to the Active Protection System, it stops your hard drive from working if it detects shocks/movements in order to protect itself from damaging the drive if your laptop is dropped, etc. You can change the sensitivity of it by serching for Active Protection System on the start menu. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!:D

  • @LGiosguide oh. my. god. thank you SOOOO much!! aaaaaah!!

  • @bizarro55 I think the first time you just have to swipe our finger on the reader and it will guide you through the process. Hey would you mind subscribing? It'd really help me out:)

  • You are great! That worked!! That has been driving me nuts for the last two days..lol. Ok..one more thing.. what about the finger print reader... is there a code for that to turn that on or make it work for certain files? Thanks again!! Keep up the good work and reviews!

  • @bizarro55 Lol I didn't even know "fn Esc" turned the webcam on -_- haha, but anyways, all you have to do is go to start and search for "Youcam" that's what the webcam application is called. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

  • great review! I just got the V570 and loving it so far but i do have one stupid question...I figured out how to turn the cam on by pressing "fn Esc" but it's not coming on...am I pressing the right buttons or is there a switch also to get the webcam to come on? thanks!

  • LOL I love how you move your hands that often when you speak... Anyways this was a good review... btw how come the audio is so loud? I bought one from Best Buy and the audio for speaker was okay, but when I used headphones it was loud as hell.

  • looking to buy one of these but have seen review by people that say they have encountered a problem with the fingerprint scanner have u had any problems w the laptop so far?

  • @Thatpartydude sorry for the slow reply, for your first question, yes the fingerprint scanner doesn't work 100% of the time, roughly about 70%, but you just have to learn the timing of how it reads your finger print and it should work better. But so far, no i haven't experienced any major issues with it. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

  • The lenovo y570 that im looking at for 800 has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M 1GB. Is that a pretty good graphics card and can it support just almost every game?

  • @KyuNube Yeah, that's a good graphics card, it should run most games

  • Ohh alrighty thanks. Would you recommend any other lenovo laptops that are priced around 700 or so?

  • @KyuNube There's the levono y470 on sale for 750 right now (until nov 30) it has an i7 processor, 8gb of ram and a 1gb dedicated graphics card. I'll put a link in the description, definitively worth cheking out!

  • @LGiosguide Would you recommend this over the v570? Sorry for bugging you so much xD i just gotta find the laptop i want by the end of today^^

  • @KyuNube I haven't used it but the specs are much much better than the v570, The screen is a little smaller than the v570 but idk if that's an issue to you. But it looks like a great laptop and you get a 3 week return window if you don't like it so it's up to you man. i'd say go for it.

  • @LGiosguide Alright i will^^ Thank you so much for all the help!

  • @LGiosguide The display says 14.0" HD Glare with integrated camera 1366x768. What does the 1366x768? is it the screen resolution or something, and is it bad?

  • @KyuNube Yeah, that's the screen resolution. Just like TV's are 720p (1280x720) or 1080p (1920x1080) that means the screen is better than a 720p TV. The v570 has the same resolution and it looks great.

  • @LGiosguide ohh alright, i thought it would effect gaming or something:p

  • @KyuNube It would just limit the resolution of the game to that, but that's about it.

  • Would you recommend this laptop but the version with the i7 processor ect for 730 or would you recommend the Hp Pavilion Dv7 for 650 or the Asus U46E-Bal6 for 700. Im looking for something thats powerful, good at multi-tasking, will last long, good at gaming and stylish. Thanks xP

  • @KyuNube All three are great laptops, but The asus laptop has much much better specs than the other two, but some of the reviews say that the screen is really fragile. All three laptops have integrated graphics so they will perform just around the same with gaming. But the Asus wil be faster with pretty much everything else. Let's do something, give me a maximum price that you will pay, and i'll try and find you a laptop that's better for gaming. Sound good?

  • @LGiosguide Sounds good. I think that 800 would be about my limit though. Thanks xD

  • @KyuNube I've found a lot of laptops with dedicated graphics that have i3 processors, they're not that bad.

But i found 2 i5's with dedicated graphics the Acer - Aspire for 729 at Best Buy and the Sony Vaio s series 13.3 for 799, which is kinda pushing it, But if you don't mind having an i3 processor there are plenty of great options!

  • @LGiosguide Im trying to get an i5 or i7 for quick multitasking but i want to light game also. When getting an i3 will it make gaming way worse, or just a little?

  • @KyuNube I actually don't think the i3 processor will affect gaming that much if the laptop jas a good amount of RAM and a good graphics card. Just what games do you think you're gonna be playing? that might help a bit.

  • @LGiosguide Probably Skyrim, Portal, Fear, Assassins Creed, and probably some online mmorpg's like Vindictus.

  • @KyuNube Oh, yeah in that case you will need dedicated graphics. I put the links of the only two laptops i could find for you in the desscription. The acer one is better, but it's sold out right now but you can call your local Best Buy and see if they have it.

  • Hey, if i get the IdeaPad V570 Laptop - 1066ANU - Silver Grey which has a 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM Processor ( 2.2GHz 1333MHz 6MB ) and 8 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz do you think it would beable to support more heavy games? Its on sale for 730 on shop.lenovo.com, but do you think itll make a huge difference or should i just save the 130 dollars and stick with the i5 and 6 gigs of ram?

  • @KyuNube can you messsage me a link to it? That way i'm able to see all the details?

  • It wont let me copy the link, its too long. Its on lenovo . com and you have to go to V series of laptop then 570's and click view models. Its the 729.00 one thats on sale:p Thanks.

  • @KyuNube found it. That laptop will run games pretty much the same way as the i5 model because they have the same graphics card, the Intel HD 3000 so it's not much of an improvement. BUT the i7 model is a much much much better machine if you're gonna be doing a lot of multitasking, video/music editing and playing games that are CPU dependant. so it's really up to you, i would choose the i7 model because i do many intensive tasks, but if you're not going to be doing heavy stuff then get the i5.

  • @LGiosguide Alright thank you so much. I do have 1 more quick request xP Could you point me in the direction of a good and cheap graphics card please. Im looking to game on this computer quite a bit, and i need a decent graphics card. Ill also be playing music while gaming which is where the i7 comes in handy xP

  • @KyuNube Glad i could help, but changing the graphics card on a laptop is a really hard thing to, you have to dissasemble a lot of the laptop. But the intel HD 3000 is an integrated card so you actually can't even replace it (as far as i know). You should try looking up if the games you're trying to play will run on that graphics card. A simple google search will probably help you with that. Oh btw, Don't worry about asking questions, that's what i'm here for:) haha

  • Hey, couple of quick question since im probably getting this laptop for Christmas. Is the start-up time good? Does the finger scanner work well ; i was told it messes up the laptop. Do you think it could support Skyrim?

  • @Entei1313 It takes about 50 seconds to fully boot up(load all start up programs and such). The finger scanner works about 75% of the time, and i don't see how it would mess up the laptop. and regarding skyrim i searched through some forums and it said that it supports it but at like 800 X 600 resolution. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

  • @LGiosguide Thanks! Know i just have to wait for Christmas.

  • Does this run some steam games? I want a laptop for school and is a bit decent with some games.

  • @darig0n Yeah, it can run steam games, i've played Portal 1 and Nuke Dukem Forever on this laptop, they ran okay. But this is certainly not a real gaming machine, but depending on the gameit might run. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

  • @LGiosguide They were choppy?

  • @darig0n i went ahead and downloaded some game demos so i could give you a better example. Portal 1, World of Goo, Plants vs. Zombies and Bioshock 1 all ran good, no lag. But then i also tried a demo of Batman Arkahm Asylum and that one didn't even run. So if they're light/older games they will run but newer bigger games might not run, or they might be choppy.

  • I'm interested in this laptop. But I'm torn between going cheap and getting one of the Gateways ranging form $449 to $599 with a 500G to 650 hard drives, This Lenovo for $599 with 750G hard drive. And today I found a Refurbished Sony Vaio for $629 all laptops have a i5 chip and are at Best Buy. The Vaio and Lenovo specs look very alike. And All the Gateways look to be the same. This would be my first laptop and would use it for school and light gaming. Any suggestions?

  • @RyanBlockb5 Well, if it's just for school really any laptop would do, but if you wanna do some multiasking, gaming and whatnot you should pick whichever laptop has the most RAM memory and you should also look at their graphics cards, This laptop has a Intel HD 3000 graphics card which is just okay for gaming, don't expect to be able to play big games on it. If the sony has dedicated graphics go with the sony, but if it has the same graphics it's really up to your preference. hope that helps!

  • I heard that it has a problem with the speakers if you use the headphones is that right?

  • @zianchohan5 I haven't experienced that problem.

  • Hey, I was wondering if you've messed around with the Lenovo V470 model. Do you see any big difference in the performance from one model to the other?

  • @dependentongod4ever i have but the model i used had an i3 processor, so i don't think it would be fair to compare them, since you can customize them if you were to order one online. But what i can tell you is that the battery doesnt last as long and the screen is an inch smaller.
