the first time I used the JVC HD100 high def camera was a similar revelation of awesome. I'm talking FULL manual control, all on the lens. some of the most beautiful images you'll see from a prosumer camera. yeah, look up some pictures of it, you'll geek aout too. :D of course I have to borrow if every time I use it, but it is so much fun.
Trust me it's better. This is all done in low lighting. I'm surprised that there wasn't a problem with visual noise when I white balanced the camera. My Sony Handycam had visual noise that annoyed the hell out of me.

I have used that camera in very very low lighting. We are talking at like a club filming local bands. its a solid camera.

the depth of field shots are so cool. I can tell you had fun with the focus on that camera.
you should seriously steal this camera and never give it back. honestly. :D
