I can honestly say I have never had a pet or tamed or wolf loyal to me. I see wolves as magnificent, majestic creatures that should be protected and cared for as such. I have always felt a deep seeded bond with wolves, going right back to certain parts of my ancestry and feel as if to kill them would be to violate my own soul, for I believe my spirit guide is a wolf and so two is the symbol of my soul.
U can't have tame wolves, you just can't -_- noob. Serisoly, even a wolf-mix raised by humans since it was a pup can be difficult, dogs have been domesticated since long and that's why we can have them, it's in they're behavior, wolf's and other wild animals don't have that. And I'm sick of people who are making up sotries of having tame wolves, it's just pathehic.
@Foppiloppa : Finally, someone else who actually has some common sense when it comes to wolves. Wolves are wild animals, just like lions, leopards, tigers, bears, etc. They DON'T make good pets most of the time, and stories about how "your aunt and your sister had a tame wolf!" are shit. If you care about wolves and other wild creatures you will not want to own one. The incident in Ohio is just more tragic proof that we should NOT own wild animals.

@Foppiloppa My family used to have a half-wolf/half-husky and he was a big baby. I mean, if he was full blood he would have been difficult to handle, but who knows. I really think it depends on the personality of the dog and the people around it more so than it depends on the breed. Of course we're all just spewing conjecture here since I'm sure none of us have tried to tame a real full blood wolf. Besides, domesticated dogs would've had to be wild before 'we' found and tamed them.

I use to have a wolf hybrid. We named her Spirit. Her full name in Cherokee meant Spirit of the wolf. She was 98% wolf and 2% husky. So she was baisicly full breed. But unfortunatly we had to put her down, and I miss her with all my heart. She was so beautiful. I had dedicated this song to her the night she died hoping my dearest dog really is in the arms of an angel.

I remeber when i had my own wolf hes name was simon i got him when he was barely a pup found him alone.....one day i took him for a walk in the woods.......and a gun shot went off and hit him.....i turned to my side and saw a hunter and he said i just saved your life and i screamed at him no you didnt you just killed my pet...i was so mad i punched the hunter in the stomach..then i picked up simon and walked off......im 13 years old now.....this happened when i was 10 rest in peace simon.:'(

i can't bear to listen to this song because i had 2 dogs and 1 cat the 2 dogs were named Sam and Daisy they were my best friends the cat was a calico named Samoa then almost all at once (it seemed like it even though Samoa came in years after Sam and Daisy) Daisy got hip dysplasia (i think how you spell it) and we put her down we put Sam in a kennel for a week and when we came back he had escaped the kennel to come look for us i wanted to kill the workers there so badly then Samoa dissapeared

This also reminds me of my many pets that have died but the one that got me the most was when we had to put are 8 year old dog to sleep i was there when he died in my moms arms and for days me and my mom couldn't stop crying but it helps to know he isn't in any more pain.
In the woods by my home when I was little I saw a beautiful wolf. We stared at eachother for like 3 secs & a gun shot went off and the wolf fell like 4 feet infront of me. A hunter came over & was happy. The hunter took the dead wolf and left. I cried & than 2 lil wolf pups came up to me. I played with them and I knew they would die without their mom so I brought them home with me. I still have them. Max & Duke. There 3 and I'm 13. We also bought the woods by my home so no one can hunt there.
@taraclaw that guy should have been arrested for shooting so close to your house, he could have missed and hit you! shame on him for killing that poor momma wolf :( but I'm glad your family was able to adopt them :)
@taraclaw you did a good thing for them and i would have done the same but i would have been scared by the hunter for shooting and killing the wolf in front of me. young or old no one should see dead even if it is a wolf.
@taraclaw once i was camping with my parents, when i saw a doe and it had a baby with it. When suddenly it's ears perked up and then a swooshing sound passed over my tent and a moment later the doe fell with an arrow through it's neck I watched as a baby deer ran straight to me and jumped into my tent and i hid it from a man who came and took the mother of it. I took it to a farm who had a deer that lost it's baby and would take it in. :'( i visit it now and then, that was 3 years ago i'm now 15
@taraclaw stupid hunter for 2 reason of killing a wolf and did he not see you there? He could of missed and got you. Just be careful with the young wolves as they are not like dogs who have been bread to be around people. I heard people have then as pets but have to be licensed to own them and take more precautions with them as they still have wild instincts. I hope the live long lives, good luck and tanks for saving them from the hunter. : )
@taraclaw I love and respect all animals and the native americans. They thanked the spirits of the animals they had to kill. Unlike most hunters today, they kill for survival, not sport. They used everything from the animals, half the time now we don't even eat the meat, we kill it, take a picture, and leave it dying there. Wolves are my favorite animals, one is my spirit guide too, and it kills me to see them fading away. I hope those who read this agree. You are very lucky to experience this.

There was a small herd of deer right out there too, and she looked over and said, "What a waste of space!" @animeandanimals Don't worry, my dad's about fifty four and still watches Batman cartoons, I hope that doesn't scare you. But the field we have near the woods used to be really nice, full of grass, and quiet. Now there's farm equipment, semi trucks, and the stream running through it is being poluted until it's gone green. All my dad talks about is how great it was thirty years ago. I know how you feel. :)
@WolfsongStorm EVERYONE hunts where I live. and just so you know, we always eat the meat from the deer we shoot, we get the antlers mounted (if it has any) and some people sell the hides. And most of them are also pretty happy people, their not sadists, but don't forget that hunting is still tradition and culture in a lot of places. (like mine).

This song reminds me of my dog. He was hit by a car 2 days before my birthday. He lasted about 15 minutes. On our way to the 24 hour vet, he slowly passed away in my arms. this reminds me of the time i found a wolf in my neighborhood. He was wild and free. He had a family, too. One day, i went looking for him and i found he had gotten shot and was lying on the ground. His wife was dead too. I sat there holding them both, crying my eyes out. i saw there pup in the distance and i grabbed him and ran home. i told my mom and we gave him to the sanctuary not far from my house. I se him every day and see he had the personality of his dad, wonderful and sweet.
i belive you how if you give animals trust they trust you its sounds crazy but i belive you play with them . my horse welll shes not mine i will never own her. when i gave her the name of paint the wind and i rode her for the first time ever shes compleatly wild and the leader of a herd she has a fall foal and i rode her shes amazing. were more then human and horse were friends

This song reminds me of me of one of my bestest friends, he died a few years ago to a brain tumer at age 12... I always that he was an angel sent to me to be my friend... we did so many things together... I know he's watching me still.. some of you might not belive this, its even hard for me to belive, but he saved my life..Iwas almost cut in half but someone pulled me out of the way and only a heart shaped cut was left on my clothes.

I love wolves but I don't get why people hate on wolf hunters. This year both the state of Montanna and Oregan issued thirtysix thousand wolf tags, in both states combined only about 200 where actualy killed. Note: they issue tags based of population to ensure healthy numbers and wolves.

Hunting is very regulated, and yes there are scummy humans. Yes I do wish we had some way to regulate them, but until I get to congress about that we just have to stick it out. Also, do not blame ALL hunters for what SOME hunters do.

I don't need to be told anything, fact is, is there shouldnt be that kind of hunting at all, regulated or not, it's one thing to hunt for the food, but I seriously doubt that wolves are hunted for meat. No, they aren't. They are used as trophies so they can show off, whose caught the biggest one, then when someones offended by it, they use some scar they got to tell a story and justify the killing.

And it's not some hunters, statistics show that nowadays, 75% of hunters only hunt for the fun or for the fur, in which 50% hunt even out of hunting season, and 20% don't even have a hunting license. And some even trap animals in no hunting zones and animal preserves.. There's no way to justify that.

Wolves are over populated, and without hunting, all the wolves would suffer from prey shortage. So just understand that hunting is necessary. It may not be pretty but it saves lives in the end.
All the religious people would be up in arms about other people doing "God's work" if we tried to cut down our own population. And then there'd be the issue of who to get rid of, haha.

I had two dogs, balto and kovu, they were my favorite dogs ever, one got killed either by wolves or a couger, and the other one got hit by a semi, they were the best dogs i ever had, no other dogs could replace them, i miss them so much *sniff*

this song reminded me of my german shepherd. my sister brought him home one day and told me that he had been abused.he was so skinny that his ribs were showing.but it seemed like he tried to forget he was abused becasue he acted like he was never abused but i could see fear in his eyes. after 2 weeks, i went out to feed him and he was gone. i came inside and asked my sister what happened.she said the abusive owners stole him back and choked him to death.

I remeber when i had my own wolf hes name was simon i got him when he was barely a pup found him alone.....one day i took him for a walk in the woods.......and a gun shot went off and hit him.....i turned to my side and saw a hunter and he said i just saved your life and i screamed at him no you didnt you just killed my pet...i was so mad i punched the hunter in the stomach..then i picked up simon and walked off......im 13 years old now.....this happened when i was 10 rest in peace simon.:'(

i can't bear to listen to this song because i had 2 dogs and 1 cat the 2 dogs were named Sam and Daisy they were my best friends the cat was a calico named Samoa then almost all at once (it seemed like it even though Samoa came in years after Sam and Daisy) Daisy got hip dysplasia (i think how you spell it) and we put her down we put Sam in a kennel for a week and when we came back he had escaped the kennel to come look for us i wanted to kill the workers there so badly then Samoa dissapeared

This also reminds me of my many pets that have died but the one that got me the most was when we had to put are 8 year old dog to sleep i was there when he died in my moms arms and for days me and my mom couldn't stop crying but it helps to know he isn't in any more pain.

In the woods by my home when I was little I saw a beautiful wolf. We stared at eachother for like 3 secs & a gun shot went off and the wolf fell like 4 feet infront of me. A hunter came over & was happy. The hunter took the dead wolf and left. I cried & than 2 lil wolf pups came up to me. I played with them and I knew they would die without their mom so I brought them home with me. I still have them. Max & Duke. There 3 and I'm 13. We also bought the woods by my home so no one can hunt there.

@taraclaw once i was camping with my parents, when i saw a doe and it had a baby with it. When suddenly it's ears perked up and then a swooshing sound passed over my tent and a moment later the doe fell with an arrow through it's neck I watched as a baby deer ran straight to me and jumped into my tent and i hid it from a man who came and took the mother of it. I took it to a farm who had a deer that lost it's baby and would take it in. :'( i visit it now and then, that was 3 years ago i'm now 15

Just be careful with the young wolves as they are not like dogs who have been bread to be around people. I heard people have then as pets but have to be licensed to own them and take more precautions with them as they still have wild instincts. I hope the live long lives, good luck and tanks for saving them from the hunter. : )

@taraclaw I love and respect all animals and the native americans. They thanked the spirits of the animals they had to kill. Unlike most hunters today, they kill for survival, not sport. They used everything from the animals, half the time now we don't even eat the meat, we kill it, take a picture, and leave it dying there. Wolves are my favorite animals, one is my spirit guide too, and it kills me to see them fading away. I hope those who read this agree. You are very lucky to experience this.

There was a small herd of deer right out there too, and she looked over and said, "What a waste of space!" I know this is a horrible thing to say, but t that moment I really wanted to tell her that she was a waste of space, and didn't deserve to be here, I didn't though.It' nice having someone else care about Earth, apparently another 27 people too! But the field we have near the woods used to be really nice, full of grass, and quiet. Now there's farm equipment, semi trucks, and the stream running through it is being poluted until it's gone green. All my dad talks about is how great it was thirty years ago. I know how you feel. :)

@WolfsongStorm EVERYONE hunts where I live. and just so you know, we always eat the meat from the deer we shoot, we get the antlers mounted (if it has any) and some people sell the hides. And most of them are also pretty happy people, their not sadists, but don't forget that hunting is still tradition and culture in a lot of places. (like mine).

This song reminds me of my dog. He was hit by a car 2 days before my birthday. He lasted about 15 minutes. On our way to the 24 hour vet, he slowly passed away in my arms. This song was playing when he died... and I sang it when we burried him... I miss you Gunner. May you rest in peace, in the arms of an angel!

this reminds me of the time i found a wolf in my neighborhood. He was wild and free. He had a family, too. One day, i went looking for him and i found he had gotten shot and was lying on the ground. His wife was dead too. I sat there holding them both, crying my eyes out. i saw there pup in the distance and i grabbed him and ran home. i told my mom and we gave him to the sanctuary not far from my house. I se him every day and see he had the personality of his dad, wonderful and sweet.

Wolf's Rain was one of the most depressing, yet addictive animes I've watched. This song no matter where it's played, can settle people down and cause them to listen. This song reminds me of me of one of my bestest friends, he died a few years ago to a brain tumer at age 12... I always that he was an angel sent to me to be my friend... we did so many things together... I know he's watching me still.. some of you might not belive this, its even hard for me to belive, but he saved my life..Iwas almost cut in half but someone pulled me out of the way and only a heart shaped cut was left on my clothes.

I love wolves but I don't get why people hate on wolf hunters. This year both the state of Montanna and Oregan issued thirtysix thousand wolf tags, in both states combined only about 200 where actualy killed. Note: they issue tags based of population to ensure healthy numbers and wolves.

We don't need hunters to ensure healthy numbers, nature does that for us, they were put on this earth just as we were and have every right to their life as we do. Hunting is very regulated, and yes there are scummy humans. Yes I do wish we had some way to regulate them, but until I get to congress about that we just have to stick it out. Also, do not blame ALL hunters for what SOME hunters do.

I don't need to be told anything, fact is, is there shouldnt be that kind of hunting at all, regulated or not, it's one thing to hunt for the food, but I seriously doubt that wolves are hunted for meat. No, they aren't. They are used as trophies so they can show off, whose caught the biggest one, then when someones offended by it, they use some scar they got to tell a story and justify the killing.

And it's not some hunters, statistics show that nowadays, 75% of hunters only hunt for the fun or for the fur, in which 50% hunt even out of hunting season, and 20% don't even have a hunting license. And some even trap animals in no hunting zones and animal preserves.. There's no way to justify that.

I had two dogs, balto and kovu, they were my favorite dogs ever, one got killed either by wolves or a couger, and the other one got hit by a semi, they were the best dogs i ever had, no other dogs could replace them, i miss them so much *sniff*

this song reminded me of my german shepherd. my sister brought him home one day and told me that he had been abused.he was so skinny that his ribs were showing.but it seemed like he tried to forget he was abused becasue he acted like he was never abused but i could see fear in his eyes. after 2 weeks, i went out to feed him and he was gone. i came inside and asked my sister what happened.she said the abusive owners stole him back and choked him to death.
