I never saw this as a kid but it's definately something i would've loved! If anyone can help, I'm looking for a video/dvd version of a BBC tele-movie starring Sarah Sutton of "ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS" any help or advice would be much appreciated!! It was made 1973-1974

Great to see this! I have the book as well, and a few years ago managed to get hold of the video, though in US format which I managed to get converted to UK DVD. Unfortunately the video condensed the episodes into one 'film', and in so doing cut out some important scenes, like the 'Wheel of Being' sequence in Wayland's Smithy. Anyone know if the DVD on Amazon is the full version, and if it will play on European machines?

Interesting that of all places, a British Children's Show presents old Pagan Customs! Go figure.

There was another Britsih children's Show they aired in the states one year in the late 1980's on 'Nickelodian' called "The Witches And The Grinnygog!" I used to have it on video but have since lost it and trying to find it again!

I still have a paperback copy of the book to accompany the BBC series... they don't make programmes like this anymore!

HHhhhhmmmm... very interesting, I have just been re writting an old toad ritual along with researching East anglian traditions.I have also been in contact with those directly and indirectly associated with the toad witch. Nice find...

I had to look everywhere - seriously - even the guy who plays Todman hadn't seen it again until I managed to get him a copy recently. Hopefully I should get more of this up here when I have edited the files I have.
