Contact with other skaters is a total given in short track, so a majority of these are actually no big deal. However, when that contact makes another skater fall down, THAT is against the rules. The DQ from the 500 meters was the right call, but the other touches were very minor. In short track competitions, just about every skater does that--the Americans, Koreans, Canadians, Chinese, Italians, Australians, Japanese, etc. alike.

Contact with other skaters is a total given in short track, so a majority of these are actually no big deal. However, when that contact makes another skater fall down, THAT is against the rules. The DQ from the 500 meters was the right call, but the other touches were very minor. In short track competitions, just about every skater does that--the Americans, Koreans, Canadians, Chinese, Italians, Australians, Japanese, etc. alike.

I personally thought that DQ call was un called for and completely ridiculous.
At any other given event, it proberly wouldnt have ended with a DQ but since its the olympics oh no we have to be Nazis and do what we think the people will want. Its ridiculous, much like the relay results. Complete and utter crap from the judges.

If you make a threat against president. You will be at least investigated by secret services. I personally talked to someone who was actually extremely rich. However I think he still spent 5 days jail and after 90,000$ on lawyers and endless court times and fines. He actually managed to clear himself.

@Maplygloby actually I did hear Yuna cheated By Japanese fans of Mao. But I don't think that's it. Some Japanese are very afraid of what Yuna represent rather than the Olympic game itself. I happen to like Mao a lot. She definitely deserves gold. I couldn't stand watching her cry.

It's because they are fucking better. Ohno got gold in 2002 because he cheated against legendary Kim Dong-Sung. He also got gold in 2006 because he false started. He got lucky in 1,500m in 2010. Exhibit A: Ohno ("one of the best speedskaters to live") has 2 gold in his entire career, while Lee Jong Su already has 2 gold at THIS YEAR'S Olympics alone (and he's only 20 years old)
South Korea regularly features skaters that win multiple golds and medals. In fact, one of their skaters who won 3 gold at the last Olympics didn't even make the team because of their sheer depth in talent

The DQ in this Olympics? South Korea was stripped of its gold because the Chinese skater happened to step on the Korean skater's skate who was in front of her, and from a biased referee (who had DQ'd more than 5 different South Korean athletes, most notably the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics).

@TaeBron23 First of all, i'm not a man. Second of all, i'm not japanese, I'm a chinese canadian. On the day of the event I was cheering for my country Canada. I'm not bias, i have many korean friends and wish to visit there.
Anyways, to the point. The judge was not anyway bias because it was a fair DQ. If you want the clip carefully, you can see her extending her arms, pushing the chinese aside. The Korean skater didn't FULLY PASSED from inside and the bump had impeded China's progress

it doesn't matter whether koreans are coaching other country's speed skaters. such argument will not change the decisions made by and made against those koreans that were disqualified. in fact, what is it even supposed to prove? coaches from the same country but repeated fouls by one country. what does that tell us?
some korean skaters are good, but others are taking cheapshots. thats the issue here
