  • I have over 30 processes running and that's all taking less than 1%. I still want to overclock but I dont want to kill my CPU. I overclock my graphics card tho, with it overclocked I can now play Sonic Generations but only at 320x200 with all the settings on low!

  • Gain 30-40 fps by switching to linux ... thats what i did :D

  • Probably just all the porn you have on it

  • If you knew something then you would take less time to say it.

The main reason for slowness us that people accept an OS that is slow. You are one of those people.

  • Just get rid of the stupid system32

  • get 16GB RAM and an 8 core processor OCed to 4.0GHz like me :D.

  • I think hardware also become slow after some time cause I have formatted system many time and not getting the speed.

even I have cleaned dust in CPU.

  • get Slackware!

  • ur smartassss levelgx

  • My answer: Your running windows, Go get a Linux distro.

  • In your start menu if on windows 7

  • Windows 7 has a thing were it tells how much CPU and ram u are using at once without having to go to task manager type in CPU meter

  • i have 58 System processes running on windows 7 ult (64Bit) and that's fine do not notice it running them.

  • JEW!

  • my computer is xp and it's 10 years

  • format c: /s

  • fuk you your so fucking annoying and wasted four minutes of my life asshole

  • He made a stinky at 3:04

  • I don't even have enough disk space for "C cleaner"

    I need help.

  • To Fix:

    Open My Computer

    Type in System32

    Hit Enter

    Right Click To Select All

    Delete

Fact: System32 is a hoax file to make windows computers run slower after x amount of years.

    Your Welcome

  • @xTaCTiikZz why? your that sad that you want to fuck up the computers of people that dont know what there doing.... your pretty pathetic dude..

  • @xTaCTiikZz Dude, System 32 is a vital part of the OS. If you delete that folder, you're screwed.

  • no matter what you do, minecraft will still lag

  • @shabbyroadgaming23 little does everybody else know but minecraft is the most graphically intensive game out there. i don't understand why battlefeild 3 got the best graphics of the year award. :D

  • Because the developers dont care about optimalisation, just say: Buy a bigger monitor, buy a faster processor, buy a new computer...

  • I have a vista & I've Taken most things from my programs to uninstalling to turning up my my performance, lowering the shiny vista look to vista basic, & I have 512 MB of memory ram but still have 45.5 of storage space & the computer is compatiable with vista, I've turn off startup programs, features, & slow performance to where it's ok,but I can't put other programs any further that bothers alot & we got are computer around 06-07 maybe a reply if you could more memory I'm thinking you might say

  • In my opinion, if you are using Windows Vista, that's the reason :)

  • OSX is 50% Unix, another 50% is Darwin.

  • @TheHugeTuber

Errrrm. You realize Windows is WindowsNT, so its not Linux/Unix.

  • since when does computers have legs? O.o

  • i7 2600k @4.4ghz

    16gb ram

    sli graphics

    ssds in raid 0

    yeah mine runs slow.

  • @TheDjWMD you think thats fast ??!!

1.8 ghz celeron , 6 year old fujitsu siemens laptop , 1.3 gb shared ram and 70gb harddrive which is choc full of shit ,

I CHALLENGE YOU TO A GEEKBENCH SCORE SIR"!!!!! - mines 1019-

  • @TheDjWMD noob

  • WHY the hell issit that you are suggesting linux to a friend who have few problems with his windows? Its like you are suggesting a friend who have problems with his girlfriend to be gay.

  • If your computer is slow chck the registry, or use the latest Linux OS. To this day Linux Mint 10 on a computer from the mid-90's is the fastest computer I've ever used.

  • Because its running Windows,Mac or Linux nether of them get that slow so easy i mean, you have more control over it,like the Registry that is just a black box etc..

  • if your computer is running slow then it means it's fucking old and you gotta buy a new one... simple as that.

  • I found the solution... Its not Linux/Unix!!

  • @TheHugeTuber Absolutely! Running Arch here :)

  • Chris you forgot to mention how you can use Ccleaner to safely disable stuff from starting on boot

  • P.E.B.K.A.C.

  • Why does my computer run so fast?

  • i have an i5-2500k :DDDD haha shit -.-

  • Every time I hear that question, I face-palm. Answer: Most people that ask, only run 1 app at a time or and 1 app ever. It cost money to upgrade your computer, it's not automatic and you don't use software to make your computer faster. Your computer will never be faster than the day that you bought your computer (unless you buy upgrades, but if you do, you would know enough to not ask). You probably also have 30 browser toolbar add-ons eating most of your screen space too, LOL.

  • Bloatware is horrible i always install new OS from disk if i buy from a shop waste of time cleaning it out

  • RUN ---> COMPMGMT.MSC ---> SERVICES

  • It's good practice to clean install your OS, programs and drivers at least once a year to get rid off the hidden bloat and old programs that are difficult to get rid of.

  • Just delete system32

  • svchost.exe takes up 100% cpu, anyone know whats up with that?

  • because of windows

  • Lmao this video was incredibly funny.

  • because he's too fat to run. just put him into the gym to lose some weight & renamed him to speedy

  • I also get the question all the time "I have a lot of pictures and music on my hard drive,.. Should i delete them to make my computer faster?" Your speed of your computer is not determined by hard drive space!

  • i HATE this question!!!! "Just because you can afford a fast computer doesn't mean corporate wants to buy one for you to use... deal with your dinosaur."

  • I love your videos Chris keep 'em coming!

  • Nice video

  • I find that the average computer on the market has 2-6 gigabytes of RAM.

Most netbooks that i see have 1 gb or less (not to mention the cpu's are fairly slow considering that they have windows 7 on them alot of times)

(min: for Win 7: 1 ghz cpu

    1 gb RAM

  • @jimmypc4242 ...I dont know what kind of netbooks you are looking at, but more often than not I see 3-6 GB RAM and sometimes 8 and 12. Your average laptop nowadays is probably good enough to run modern games.

  • @santiagoelmafioso ..... are you sure your talking about NETbooks or NOTEbooks

A notebook nowadays matches the description thaat you say

an average netbook (you know those super small, light, optical drive-less, mobile computers that can run you about $300+ (the highest i ever saw one was $500 with 3 gb ram).

Also netbooks often have Intel Atom processors which aren't that powerful (usually). (NOTE: as in comparison to a 14-17 inch laptop which usually have 3-6 gb ram and intel i3 or i5 cpu's)

  • @jimmypc4242 ack, I got them backwards, nevermind

  • Format and reinstall every 6 months, replace/upgrade every 5 years,

you have a filled up registry...

  • What are u guys stupid...DELETE SYSTEN 32 duh!

  • i always want to know what are all those blinking lights above your computer screen

  • Yeah I tried that but what I say is make sure your running a 64-bit version of the operating system I seem to have less problems with 64-bit than I did using 32-bit because sometimes having more than just one program on 32-bit running can cause it to lag a lot. People also have to take account the fact that editing programs can take up a lot of memory so the more ram you have the better.

  • FACT: COMPUTERS SHOULD BE REPLACED EVERY 5 YEARS.

  • @FazerMuzic that is not a fact. That is a opinion that you are trying to force on to people.

  • @FazerMuzic I think often, atleast some of the components

  • @FazerMuzic I think so too. Even Macs should be replaced every 5 years. Software on the internet take advantage of new hardware and other software.

  • @FazerMuzic True enough, but it's more like 2 years at todays amount of advances..

  • @FazerMuzic FIVE years, more like every 6 months to a year (or at least components upgraded)

  • @virginboy92 yes, more ram. currently you want at least 1-2gb. possibly more.

  • @LostieTrekieTechie 2-4gb should be more enough

  • @FazerMuzic At the most.

  • @conker5698 For a casual user, 8 years might be fine.

  • @FazerMuzic i have had a macbook for 5 1/2 years, runs great. its only froze up on me twice

  • @FazerMuzic Desktops maybe in less than 6 years. That's the equivalent to a 30 year old car. Laptops need to be replaced in less time about every 2 to 3 years.

  • @FazerMuzic Rubbish! Why replace it if its doing what u need? I know a guy who died last christmas he was running a system i built for him around 2003 which was a AMD Duron 1.3Ghz, Windows XP Home, 512mb Ram. All he used it for was email and word processing so why did he need a newer one?

  • @FazerMuzic Thumbs down! Many servers, workstations, etc. far exceed 5 years. And what about computers running 20year old CNC machines? Some of those you can't replace without spending 10's or thousands!!!

  • @FazerMuzic Gaming PCs should be replaced every 1-2 years, office PCs 3-5 years and workstation servers every 10 years

  • And one more thing, the Anti-virus Programs such as G-Data, Sophos, and Avira Antivir.

  • Bloatware, Misc. Startup Programs and Services, Registry, Fragments, Drivers, Browser Extensions (especially Chrome), etc.

Those are what makes a PC to run slow.

  • Its still running XP jump on and uprgrade to 7

  • @wemakepies Half of that is gibberish... "Compter Cache?"... Deleting extra languages helps? How old is that computer you are using? Still running that Pentium 3 ehh? 1 Ok, I'll give you that. 2 Hard Drive full? Not likely for the average user. 3 Still running XP? Perhaps. 4 That is so uncommon it shouldn't even be on your list. 5 How many people do you know that take good care of their computer? Hardware breaks. 6 Sometimes. 7 nonsensical. 8 not common. 9 nope. 10 nope. 11 nah. 12 yeah!

  • Windows ME is so full of resources, the printer takes the last 20% of the 15% there and refuses to print.

  • Just because a computer takes 45 minutes to boot, it must be Norton's fault.

  • MSCONFIG is your friend. :)

  • @Deliciousfruit233 i miss things like MSCONFIG and DXDIAG after switching to a mac

  • I'm going to make a small list on why your computer is slow: 1.The programs processes 2.hard drive full 3.hard drive needing defragmentation 4.hard drive permissions 5.computer hardware (unlikely) 6.battery(some computer companies slow down the processor when on battery) 7.computer cache 8.virus 9.deleting extra languages helps 10.system logs 11.redundeunt code(on a mac running an intel processor, doesn't need that extra ppc code) 12.items on the desktop(MAJOR THING) keep your desktop clean!!
  • lion f*cked my 2011 Macbook pro up for sure..This thing is still super speedy but not as fast as when i got it(Shipped with snow leopard)...ugh.

  • Whenever I kill I process, it comes right back.

  • @AviatorStudios That is called a virus, or a windows process that is needed which cannot be shut down for windows to run.

  • plus i suggest Tune up utilities

  • my computer runs slow but i am not computer tarded so i figure it out by myself no offense to people who own a computer and don't take care of it

  • Also check if you need to defrag the hard disk.

  • I hate games and programs that just sneak in a load of other crap by stealth during instalation. League of Legends (which gets old after 5 minutes) did that. However, having a huge number of pictures of Jessica Alba and Famke Jansen on my hard drive did not help either.

  • @DoctorKandosii Gotta uncheck all the installer stuff you don't want then. Just because you're too stupid to check what you are installing doesn't mean you can hate.

  • @DavidH373 I did but it installed it anyway. It contained one of those programs that while not containing malicious code still gets on your drive by stealth. Oh and what crawled up your arse and died, chubby?

  • My MacBook Pro is only about 7 moths old and I'm curious to know about how long i should expect it to last me using it for only basic web browsing, music, movies, and some small video editing? It has slowed down a bit but its only because of lion.

  • @981291dude Depending on the build quality a MacBook Pro should run for ages web browsing. Why'd you spend $2000 on a computer for browsing when you could have spent much less?

  • @DavidH373 It was a graduation gift so i didn't really spend anything :)

  • GameBooster 3 is great. It closes all unnecessary applications in the background.

  • delete the temporary files in temp folder in windows and also sometimes when you write files to a cd/dvd s you tend to copy the files to the dvd drive for later writing it to the cd/dvd. Make sure you delete those files because it eats up your RAM and make the computer slow. Keep the files to be written in your Hard drive not on your CD/DVD drive.

  • Most average users could probably get rid of about 1/4 of their windows services since most are not utilized. Like remote services/peripherals/etc.

  • I think sometimes they just get old. Seen loads of computers that are still slow even after a clean install of the os.

  • goto task sceduler and dissable a load of sceduled tasks. biggest offender would be google updater.

that thing wants to run over and over again.

also get rid of all the windows media shite. totally unnessecary

  • because lockergnome is hogging your tubes

  • stop downloading porn?

  • Because when you delete something is does not delete (even secure delete) it is kep like that until you add a new file that will overwrite the old file..

  • Don't install shit you don't need?

  • Well if you launch msconfig you can see what non-microsoft services are running and disable accordingly (Printer Hardware add-ons, Audio Add-ons from Mfg, etc). Also see what'sin the startup, and remove things like printer monitors, adobe reader/product speed launchers, java updater and etc remove.

  • It is running slow because it is shyt

  • Is it slowly?
