Wrong harnase.

Huskies have the strong natural impulse to pull - they are in fact sleigh dogs. This type of harnase puts pressure on the muscle areas that trigger the instinct of pulling - Try a no pull harnase - classic one around the neck. And try NOT to pull it back when he pulls forward - that will only makes things worse - Huskies like to be on or two steps forward ahead. Instead try to just to stop and if it still pulls try making 2, 3 fast steps infront and quickly turn around. Good luck

One year is too early. She's probably mature enough but her body isn't equipped to handle that just yet. Wait until 3 years to be sure things go smoothly. But, honestly.. if you don't know when to breed your Husky, you shouldn't be doing it. You're obviously not educated on the subject of breeding and probably don't know a thing about the genetic health concerns facing Huskies. You're going to breed unhealthy pups that end up in shelters. Get your dogs fixed and stop creating problems.

Huskies are very independent dogs. When they pick up a sent they will go and go until they lose it or find what they are looking for. Yes, for the most part they need to stay on their leads so that they do not run away. On the contrary with proper training as an owner you can teach them to stay with you or come back when called. My husky will run around on my front lawn while I am scooping snow and will run and play without going on the street or across the neighbors yard.

I got a husky puppy yesterday. 8 weeks old! We called him Harley. He has lightning blue eyes and a beautiful face. My (rough and tough) step dad had tears in his eyes when he held Harley for the first time and he bought the pup 5 minutes later!!!

ps. For anyone who doesn't know, the husky's fur coat is insulated and has two types of hairs which means it keeps out the cold and keeps in the warm in COLD weather and it keeps out the heat and keeps in the cool and HOT weather.

I have a husky and I live in AZ so its gets hot. Yes they do fine in hot weather if they are raised from pups there. Its very important that you get it right at 8 weeks and stay in warm weather for the first year so the pup can adjust. They will not develop that thick coat if they are raised in warmer weather during the first year. They are great dogs good luck hope this helped.

dont let huskies or big dogs jump for long, they may acidentally hurt someone, and if the person who gets hurt is a little kid, the parent will say the dog attacked my child. Depending who it is. I really like huskies, so awesome, but i like my dog too, a yellow labrador.
