you can make zerglings, defiler, lurkers and/or hydras and use the zerglings to attack buying you time to put the defilers plague (orange cloud) over your hydras and your lurkers... they will lose everything while the only things u will lose will be your zerglings unless they have melee units aka zealots or firebats
@TheTheo86 that makes it for any range attacks (aka most of all the terrans units) will be absorbed by it and do no damage to units under it. Only melee are able to hurt the units under that cloud.
It is a spell called "Dark Swarm" available to the defiler. Ranged attacks(except for splash damage) do not cause any damage to units in the dark swarm.

@Fireeyes91 Zerg are a lot easier in so many aspects as well, the fact that you make all your units from the Hatchery keeps your building low, the fact that your units are so cheap and fastly produced keeps upgrading easy and getting a proper defense and offense is pretty simple. I find Zerg to be the easiest race to play, but that's just me. To me Terran are the hardest just cuz of how much fucking micro you have to do with them.

I'm not the best starcraft player ever, but I think that protoss is actually the hardest race to play. While there isn't necessarily as much micro involved, using effective strategies as protoss against terran or zerg opponents is insanely difficult. The units aren't saved by micro in the same way marines are with medic support, and protoss players are extremely easy to box in. Protoss has the hardest time harassing expansions, and it has the hardest time expanding under pressure.
i believe that terran is the hardest race because of the need for mirco is more important
but i believe that the people who actually get good at terran have adapted to have the skills needed to win and this is what causes terran to win so much
They've obviously cut out the cliffs overlooking everything and the maps are more balanced than back in the day, but things still aren't perfect. I just think we've gotten so used to the idea of maps looking a certain way that people stopped really asking what maps would work better from a balance perspective.
If you have maps with cliffs overlooking all the minerals, narrow passageways everywhere and a dozen high yield expansions all over the place, you'll never see Protoss win. That's in part why Protoss loses so much.
Don't forget the importance on maps. If mapmakers wanted to they could make maps that would favour one race over the others very dramatically. For instance, a map with no expansions and 20 minerals in the main with a fairly narrow choke leading from base to base would be super imbalanced PvZ.. zergs would lose so much on it. Back in the day terran won in part because of the maps that favoured them... maps with narrow passageways and cliffs overlooking everything.

Terran is pretty much the only race that wins tournaments and occasionally toss. Zerg is the hardest race due to loss of drones and units that die easily to aoe. Also Terran and toss can easily place expansions with defense around them a zerg player cannot expand as easily vs. anyone decent who scouts. Please name a pro zerg player that can constantly beat a pro terran, doesnt happen.

You're right to say that Terran is the best race. Although it is true that zerg and protoss has taken over recently, Terran probably has won more Major finals than other two race combined.

Ha no, its easy to macro since you don't have to build additional production buildings, its easy to macro from 1-4 hotkeyed hatcheries, unlike terran where you have like 6 factories and then some starports and barracks, you can't have them all hotkeyed and building shit during and engagement. You can go for an in base hatch to get more larva, its only 300k minerals. Its easier to spam large numbers of units with zerg than with terran.

@Fireeyes91 Zerg are a lot easier in so many aspects as well, the fact that you make all your units from the Hatchery keeps your building low, the fact that your units are so cheap and fastly produced keeps upgrading easy and getting a proper defense and offense is pretty simple. I find Zerg to be the easiest race to play, but that's just me. To me Terran are the hardest just cuz of how much fucking micro you have to do with them.

Guardians are good, just cuz they're slow and expensive doesn't mean they're bad. They beat out any ground unit in hordes with proper micro.

I never said guards were bad. I agree I tend to use guards a lot too when I keep Terran in their base with muta. Although they tend to die easily which is why they are rarely used nowadays.

I'm not the best starcraft player ever, but I think that protoss is actually the hardest race to play. While there isn't necessarily as much micro involved, using effective strategies as protoss against terran or zerg opponents is insanely difficult. The units aren't saved by micro in the same way marines are with medic support, and protoss players are extremely easy to box in. Protoss has the hardest time harassing expansions, and it has the hardest time expanding under pressure.

I'm best with Terrans, but that's mainly because I'm not a very aggressive player, so the base defense capabilities of the Terrans suits me.
But I don't think any one race is significantly easier or harder than the others. It depends on individual playing style.

They've obviously cut out the cliffs overlooking everything and the maps are more balanced than back in the day, but things still aren't perfect. I just think we've gotten so used to the idea of maps looking a certain way that people stopped really asking what maps would work better from a balance perspective.

If you have maps with cliffs overlooking all the minerals, narrow passageways everywhere and a dozen high yield expansions all over the place, you'll never see Protoss win. That's in part why Protoss loses so much.

Don't forget the importance on maps. If mapmakers wanted to they could make maps that would favour one race over the others very dramatically. For instance, a map with no expansions and 20 minerals in the main with a fairly narrow choke leading from base to base would be super imbalanced PvZ.. zergs would lose so much on it. Back in the day terran won in part because of the maps that favoured them... maps with narrow passageways and cliffs overlooking everything.

Terran is pretty much the only race that wins tournaments and occasionally toss. Zerg is the hardest race due to loss of drones and units that die easily to aoe. Also Terran and toss can easily place expansions with defense around them a zerg player cannot expand as easily vs. anyone decent who scouts. Please name a pro zerg player that can constantly beat a pro terran, doesnt happen.

You're right to say that Terran is the best race. Although it is true that zerg and protoss has taken over recently, Terran probably has won more Major finals than other two race combined.
However you're inconsistent in your points for exmple, zerg always take more expansion than other two races because of their ability to be offensive forces other player to defend.

Definitely not. Protoss is the easy race to play. Both Zerg and Terran are the difficult ones. Because of all the management involved. Some people say its the Zerg, others say its the Terran that is the hardest. I think most people will agree that Terran is probably the hardest race to play.

Ha no, its easy to macro since you don't have to build additional production buildings, its easy to macro from 1-4 hotkeyed hatcheries, unlike terran where you have like 6 factories and then some starports and barracks, you can't have them all hotkeyed and building shit during and engagement. You can go for an in base hatch to get more larva, its only 300k minerals. Its easier to spam large numbers of units with zerg than with terran.
