Mr. Gabriel, im 15 and i have loved your music for the last few years. If you make an appearance at the Fox theater in Detroit, MI ill be more than glad to see you there. Compared to the Palace of Auburn Hills, i find the Fox to be better suited for you.

For almost 45 years Peter Gabriel has been a musical visionary-constantly reinventing himself in his astounding, original style. He's great in an interview with his charm and modestsy. Quite open and honest and gentle. Saw him in '82, '87, and '11. (I believe Mel toured with him last year-lovely voice) Always thought Ira was a beautiful name. (Ira Levin- one of my favorite authors) Congratulations and all the best to Mel and Peter.

Thanks for sharing a few moments Peter. 8O) I saw your first 2 tours back in the late 70's at the Montreal forum...Very memorable experience for me. While the crowd was throwing toilet paper rolls through the air and bouncing big beach balls around I saw this very calm distinguished person walk down the center isle on the floor towards the stage while all the fun and madness was going on all around. I knew right away it was you as you walked up to the piano and played a song I hadn't heard since

Continued 1– I was a child…As you played the notes to “Me and my Teddy Bear” the crowd slowly began to ponder if it was you or one of the roadies making sure the piano was tuned…and as you finished playing it you got up and walked to the front of the stage stopped and then the lights went down…background music came on as you turned on a powerful flashlight and shone it towards the crowd moving it all over lighting up the darkness and then as your light touched certain points in the crowd

Continued 2 – lights from audience shone back towards you and then began circling the concert hall. Then I believe you shone your light under your chin at which point the other lights shone towards you and then came out of the crowd towards the stage…they were your band members. I had a connection with Peter Gabriel that night I’ll never forget because you reached back into my childhood and pulled out a plumb. 8O)
