Seriously, how much does this game take out of you financially?! I mean I know its a hobby, but you have to paint every single one of those little figures and also have to buy everyone one of them. Just 6 marine figures cost $25, and I have heard of armies costing around $3000.
woah two whirlwinds and some sniper scouts and dev. marines not very templar. still impressive i guess if you went with your origional fluff it would make since (long time sub big time templar fan) how would you mesh the rules is i guess my overriding question? cause i needs an explination for why in apoc my templars would have devistators cause there is not much deadlier then heavy weapons that get closer when you shoot at them
@gohlke I don't run devestator squads in apoc, but I need a few heavy weapons to distribute to various shooting crusader squads that sit on my initial objectives. The whirlwinds, I believe were allowed back in 3rd edition (when BT were in the armageddon codex), but they're painted with imperial fist and ultramarine symbols and came in two auctions that I won via ebay. I don't use them in normal games. Thanks for the comment!!!!
Ahh hammer on ebay, where having an possesive girlfriends is a negative. But on the other side how many 3-4k lists have a purchised under 100 dolla. Black templar or as it should be called The best EVER
Awesome collection there! I did notice however, that you have quite a few of your figures painted by other people! Perhaps you would like to have Me paint some of your figures for you? Come check out my videos, and in the description's of those videos will be a link to my facebook, which is full of detailed photos of my work! I specialize in making stuff look dirty and grungy! anyways, cool vid, and keep em' coming!
@Faceboy89 I wish you were subbed to my blog channel. I had a video which I posted and shortly took down about looking for more YouTubers to try a hand at painting up some Tron Templars (with a little commission money thrown in). But those small commissions I'm looking to do to finish them up have been been sent out. I'll take a look at your facebook account this weekend. It's good to have a variety of sources to send work to.
Hey, thanks for your reply! I would definitely be interested in doing some work for you! I'm just starting out my business, But I've been painting for awhile! I've actually watched plenty of your videos, and if I remember correctly, I used one of your videos to teach myself how to play! XD But yeah, that'd be awesome! I would love to paint your minis for you! just check out my videos, and in those will be the link to my facebook!
@Faceboy89 I'm currently not looking for painters, because I sent out my two things for commission out already. But I'll definitely check out your vids this weekend and keep you in the loop if I ever send out more stuff to be painted.
@RetributionAngel I did not count them, but I know that it's well in excess of 9,000 points. Probably over 10,000 points, but I know that I'll be having to let some of them go at some point. I'm just running out of storage area. As the Tron Templars are becoming more well rounded, I'll probably reissue the stuff I got on ebay out to YouTube or back to ebay.
I love the Tron Templars i think that the White ones where amazingly cool.... just a question i want to know how you painted those i really liked them.. thanks dude
@degUFFe Thanks!!! Prime white, paint white (so you have a definitive white to do some correction with). Use a tiny bit of blue wash to affect large area details like the check plate. Use the white paint to dry brush over the ink to add highlight to raised areas. Use a similiar color blue paint(as the wash) to paint minor details (like eyes). Pretty much done after that. The real problem is trying to make sure you don't use too much wash and a lot of waiting for a areas to dry.
