  • Love this!! I had to subbie you!! lol .. Im a total nerd for Garlic Chicken Voila .. and its expensive considering it takes two bags to feed me and the hubs .. im so excited to make my own!! Thanks for making this, im off to check out more of your vids! :-D

  • Great tips but did you cook the fresh veggies? I din't see that in the video, Thanks.

  • This is awesome! I have made some skillet freezer meals freezing teh sauce in ice cube trays. I like the idea of coating the pasta and veggies in the sauce before flash freezing. One less step! Thanks for sharing!

  • u have saved me money thanks =)

  • What is with this freezer bag stuff? Make the meal....cool completely and than cover with heavy duty foil and freeze. When you are ready to use just slip into oven.

  • ROFL!!! Good job!!!

  • your videos put me in a good mood

  • i am definately using this video because i love the skillet meals, but they have a lot of fat and salt. this is a better and cheaper alternative. thanks so much and keep making videos.

  • Looks great. I will have to try that. Thank you!

  • You remind me of my cousin. Great sense of humor and a great cook also. THANK YOU FOR THIS TIP. I'm never buying another Skillet Sensation (Or whatever its called) AGAIN.

    lol

OH, and I tried your Burbon Chicken recipe and let me say that it was a FREAKIN HIT on my side of town. I'm going to parlay the sauce (sweet and sour) into a dip for Lumpia...Phillipino egg/veg rolls. (which can also include pork or beef). You're awsome, Monque.

  • hun that is a good ideal but thats a lot of work i would rather just buy to bags of the store bought kind.

  • yeah I usually just pick a lazy sunday and make up about 10 bags of different varieties

  • is two jars of sauce gonna be healthy tho? other than that it looks really good.

  • you can actually leave off the sauce and just season it with salt and pepper and throw some olive oil on it when it's reheated. I've done that before with good results....but man I sure did miss the sauce lol

  • thank you, you can cook. I am a new subby.

  • thanks!!! And thanks so much for subbing!!!

  • This looks so good, much better than the store bought skillet creation. Great idea, five stars

  • Thanks Kelly Jelly! (I like saying that name)

  • that looks so good, you have wonderful cooking skills! In the future I wish to get better at my cooking lol But as always practice makes perfect. Love the idea of flash freezing, skillet meals!

  • Thanks hun! You are right girl, practice surely does makes for perfection!

  • i love the way u think. That's fast fresh food on a budget. Do have any health food recepe's

  • I'll be posting more healthy recipes. I'm trying to eat healthier in 2010 so we'll see how that goes : )

  • Love this! That is so creative and time saving!!! Are the vegetables tender when you cook them on the skillet for those few minutes?

  • yeah it doesn't take long to get the veggies tender. They come out tender but firm.

  • Great tip and I am definitely going to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing. Blessings.

  • GREAT IDEA! How did learn how to cook? Did someone teach you or you learned evrything on your own?

  • I learned from being in the kitchen with my grandmothers, mom, & aunts. I didn't really appreciate it then, but I do now : )

  • Thank you for the GREAT ideas!! I love this :-)

  • You go girl...You could also freeze the alfredo sauce in a ice cube holder instead of mixing it with veggie and chicken. Great Video as alway!!!!!

  • That is so true! I have that tip on my blog. It makes for a more creamier pasta.

  • I would love to see more frozen skillet meals!!!

  • love this recipe, I will be trying it.

  • You rock...thanks for the idea.

  • Fantastic.. Thanks Great Idea ... Please do more frozen diner ideas

  • Oh thats a good idea, especially for like date nights when you don't want to be standing over the stove forever. I'm going to try this..Thanks Monique

  • I love your videos! Cooking is one of my hobbies, and you make me want to cook up a bunch of stuff right now!!!

  • I love your videos! You make me want to just cook up a bunch of stuff!!!

  • Girl u better try out for the next foodnetwork star......

  • @CurlyTrini87 must be a true nigger coment... always with the "girl" to start a topic

  • Great video and excellent idea. I'm trying to eat healthier, so this gives me on some ideas on how to provide lunch ahead for weekday meals.

  • wow !!! great video Diva

  • I really need to try this, frozen food is right up my alley and I hate it. Will be doing this next week. Thanks

  • This a really good info. I am making chicken alfredo tonight and I think I am going to make extra to do this. Did you let the food cool or reach room temp before you put it in the freezer? I just always thought it was bad to freeze hot food

  • nope no need to cool it down.

  • @TheStyleAficionado I thought the same thing about hot food going into the fridge. Love this recipe(all of them), but iffy about that

  • Thanks so much!! You can let it cool a bit before freezing if you prefer. If I'm flash freezing something really heavy like a lasagna I will let it cool slightly just so that it doesn't bother any of the other food in the freezer, but with this recipe and any other single layered items, I just take it straight from the stove to the freezer with no problem. Now you definitely don't want to freeze or refrigerate hot food in a covered container (learned that the hard way with a loud explosion lol)

  • this is genious, i make a homemade alfredo sauce with cream cheese, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese, could i do the same thing with my homemade alfredo sauce? and can i use shrimp thanks

  • Yes homemade sauce works just as well (and taste better in my opinion) Yes you can use shrimp as well

  • This is a great idea!! I will definitely be trying this!

  • Love it!

  • Thank you Monique

  • What is rice butter???

  • I love your channel. I use better than bouillon chicken or vegetable base it really thick and dissolves quickly in liquid try that sometime instead of the chicken broth good for colds also.

  • great idea!

  • You are awesome... thanks for sharing.

  • Once again great idea!!!! Love it definatly going to give this try! Thanks for sharing:)

  • Girl you are to funny!!I'll try this one tonight.

    :)

  • Mo you are on it girl. Speaking of butter crisco I tried the yeast rolls you have and they were a flop! I have to try it again. Also can I fry these porkchops Im ab to make in this butter crisco or it will be too rich?

  • The rolls didn't turn out?? Oh no we have got to fix that. I'm putting some tips that may help on the blog page (a reader told me that hers only turned out if she had the yeast mixture at a certain tempt.) Let me go do that right now!

  • oops not yeast mixture I meant liquid mixture

  • I thought maybe it was me bc I just tried to cook some biscuits! Another flop!!! I thought maybe something to do with the crisco?!?! IDK but I keep wasting all this flour!! LOL!

  • Very great video! I love this idea, thank you Monique!

  • Wonderful.

  • girl you are on it....great vid
