go to 01:00 and look at the performance Bar at 80% in the lower left corner. You have only 8 active Tracks.... Thats currently the main problem with Melodyne integrated into Studio One.
@HouseOfDomo No, the reason for that was that my power management on my PC was set to lower power at the time. If I increase it to high performance, my CPU sits at 10% at most. Check your power settings on your PC. Defrag your hard drive. Update your software. Good luck :)
Ya the only time it starts to get costly is if I have 10 or 12 instances of Melodyne open when I'm converting drums to midi. But I think that's totally understandable.
only Problem with Melodyne in S1 is the unbeliveable high CPU usage. Even the best I7-2700k gets problems and the whole GUI slows down. Presonus has to completly move all the GUI operations to the Grafic adapter in the next big update.
Melodyne itself is great but for many PCs or MACs it will be to CPU costly...
@ObediaTutor look at the intensive CPU usage in your Video. If users forget to "Bounce" the Melodyne tracks the CPU usage goes up and up because so many Melodyne instances are running at same time for every single sample your using it on. It has been reported on the Presonus forums by several users already. Its a known issue to work on.
If you Bounce all the tracks in your Video the performance bar will drop alot.
@HouseOfDomo ALSO...and i could be wrong... but if he is using screen capture software (to make this video) then that would also have to be considered when you see cpu spikes. I know when i do tutorials the screen capture really slows down my computer when combined with other software.
@KnockSquared Yes, of course. Screen capturing is very CPU intensive. But again, much of this is due to my power settings in windows 7, which you would be surprised at what a difference it can make.
The audio track you are editing in melodyne is just awwful! it seems like the audio cant be fixed even in melodyne!

@HouseOfDomo I haven't seen any of what you're reporting. You might want to do a bug report to Presonus, because it runs fine on my side.
